Lecturer ELECTROMAGNETISM AND MIND CONTROL Introduction Light, microwaves, x-rays, and TV and radio transmissions are all kinds of electromagnetic waves that can control minds of people. They are all the same kind of wavy disturbance that duplicates itself over a distance called the wavelength. Electromagnetic waves comprise of an amalgamation of oscillating electrical and magnetic fields, perpendicular to each other. This is complicated to visualize, however, the waveform has similar distinctiveness of other types of waves (Evans 34).The creation and detection of the wave and its impact on the mind depend on the range of wavelengths. A changing magnetic field will induce a varying electric field and vice-versa—the two are linked both influence and control of the mind. These varying fields form electromagnetic waves (Beckley 18). Electromagnetic waves differ from mechanical waves in that they do not oblige a medium to propagate. This means that electromagnetic bearing can pass in the course of not only through air and solid materials, but as well through the vacuum of space. Electromagnetic waves has characteristics and this characteristics resolve the extent of ‘‘dangers’’ or effect of the waves and they include; wavelengths, velocity, amplitude, and Frequency. Frequency: The frequency of any waveform equals the velocity divided by the wavelength. The units of measurement are in cycles per second or Hertz. The wavelengths of electromagnetic waves go from extremely long to extremely short and everything in between. The wavelengths determine how matter responds to the electromagnetic wave, and those characteristics determine the name we give that particular group of wavelengths. The amplitude of electromagnetic waves relates to its intensity or brightness (as in the case of visible light).With visible light, the brightness is usually measured in lumens. With other wavelengths the intensity of the radiation, which is power per unit area or watts per square meter is used. The square of the amplitude of a wave is the intensity The velocity is a measure of the displacement per unit time. The standard value of velocity of an electromagnetic wave in a vacuum is approximately 300,000 kilometers per second, the same as the speed of light. When these waves pass through matter, they slow down slightly, depending on the size of their wavelength. Electromagnetic waveform All human thoughts, sensations and actions arise from bioelectricity generated by neurons and transmitted through complex neural circuits inside our skull. Electrical signals between neurons generate electric fields that radiate out of brain tissue as electrical waves that can be picked up by electrodes touching a person's scalp (Beckley 32). Measurements of such brainwaves present strong insight into brain principle and an important analytical tool for health center. In reality, so elementary are brainwaves to the internal mechanism of the mind, they have turn out to be the decisive, legal definition illustrating the thin line between life and death. Brainwaves modify with a healthy person's awareness and unconscious mental action and state of stimulation. It is probable to selectively control brain function by transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) (Evans 39). This method uses strong pulses of electromagnetic radiation grinned into a person's brain to jam or excite particular brain circuits. Possibility of Electromagnetic wave mind control: Although a cell phone is much less powerful than transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), the question still remains: Could the electrical signals coming from a phone affect certain brainwaves operating in resonance with cell phone transmission frequencies? After all, the caller's cerebral cortex is just centimeters away from radiation broadcast from the phone's antenna. A study by Rodney Croft, of the Brain Science Institute, Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia gives a degree of justification (Ceres 78) Rodney Croft tested whether cell phone transmissions could alter a person's brainwaves. The researchers observed the brainwaves of 120 healthy men and women whose heads were strapped with a Nokia 6110 cell phone—one of the most popular cell phones in the world. A computer was used to control the phone's transmissions in an experiment called the double-blind design, which meant that neither the test subject nor researchers knew whether the cell phone was transmitting or idle while EEG data were collected (Ceres 81). The results of the data showed that when the cell phone was transmitting, the power of a characteristic brain-wave pattern called alpha waves in the person's brain was increased noticeably. The boosted alpha wave activity was greatest in brain tissue directly beneath to the cell phone, justifying the case that the phone was responsible for the observed effect. Also a statement by Dr Michael Persinger Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Laurentian University affirms this possibility in the article he wrote which read “Contemporary neuroscience suggests the existence of fundamental algorithms by which all sensory transduction is translated into an intrinsic, brain-specific code (Beckley 53). Direct stimulus of these codes inside the human chronological or limbic cortices by functional electromagnetic patterns might have need of energy levels which are within the assortment of both geomagnetic motion and modern communication networks. Alpha waves amplify in control when a person alters his or her perception of the external world to internal thought; they also are the main brainwave signs of sleep.   Cell Phone Insomnia If cell phone signals boost a person's alpha waves, does this nudge them subliminally into an altered state of consciousness or have any effect at all on the workings of their mind that can be observed in a person's behavior? In the study by James Horne and colleagues at the Loughborough University Sleep Research Centre in England devised an experiment to test this question .The consequence was shocking (Keith 102). Not only could the cell phone signals reflect an individual conduct during the call, the impacts of the disrupted brain-wave patterns went on lengthily after the handset was switched off. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive method to cause depolarization or hyper polarization in the neurons of the brain (Keith 102). TMS uses electromagnetic induction to induce weak electric currents using a rapidly changing magnetic field; this can cause activity in specific or general parts of the brain with minimal discomfort, allowing the functioning and interconnections of the brain to be studied. The circuitry used to produce the magnetic field pulses is typically based on a capacitor discharge system (as shown in figure .1) with characteristic peak coil currents in the assortment of numerous kilo amps and discharge voltages of up to a few kilovolts (Keith 105). However it is a useful description because it indicates that stimulation will occur during the first phase of the induced electric field, corresponding to the rising edge of the applied magnetic field). Figure2 shows the shape of the magnetic field waveform and the induced electric field recorded from a stimulator based on the circuit topography of figure 1. The disadvantage of the circuit of figure.1 is that all the energy in each pulse is subsequently dissipated in the diode/resistor combination which controls the decay of the magnetic field. If fast repetition rate (tens of Hertz) stimuli are required then the use of an oscillatory magnetic field waveform, approximating to 1 cycle of a sine wave (resulting in a cosine induced field), is used in several commercial designs as this enables the energy from each pulse to be partially recycled and used again for the next pulse. Circuit losses at present limit this recycling of energy to about 61% of the initial energy. Rodney Croft was able to demonstrate that phone transmission could alter a person’s brainwaves by boosting the alpha waves which controls the change in attention between external and internal inputs (Beckley 71). Possible benefits of EMC (Electromagnetic mind control) Magnetic stimulus is being used, or increased, in many functions. These include diverse areas such as creating weak electric currents using a rapidly changing magnetic field thus causing activity in specific or general parts of the brain with minimal discomfort hence allowing the functioning and interconnections of the brain to be studied to obtain information processing within the human brain; treatment of depression and psychiatric disorder that falls within the scope of psychotic illnesses. This means that the patient at some point develops symptoms that lead them to misinterpret reality (schizophrenia); in psychiatry using stimuli at either convulsive or sub-convulsive levels. This aids in diagnosis and charts the progress of disease or mechanical damage in central and peripheral nerve pathways; stimulating cortical plasticity; and functional stimulation applications such as the treatment of incontinence, artificial respiration and the induction of speech arrest (Evans 94). Predominantly active sections at hand are scrutinizing if magnetic stimulus can be applied as a substitute to electroconvulsive therapy in order to treat rigorous depression, and stimulus of the motor cortex by means of novel pulse paradigms to support plasticity as an adjunct to post-stroke rehabilitation. Mind tricks have been one of popular human activities which are sometimes really hard to explain. The mind is so powerful that, it can manipulate anything as it desires (Beckley 77). While the term has had, for years, a negative connotation associated with brainwashing, it is also a term used to achieving complete dominance over the human mind and its functions. Mind control tricks can be very helpful if appropriately used. These have been the source of motivations for troubled minds or frustrated minds. Alpha level helps you relax and better deal with stressful situations. Alpha level also helps improve your learning, memory and social interaction. If you suffer from anxiety, nervousness or depression, alpha brainwaves can help you counteract the negative impact of these conditions (Beckley 77). Alpha brainwaves are also known to boost your immune system.  The more you operate at alpha, the less you get sick. The main reason behind this is because being in alpha level relaxes and de-stresses you.  Stress has been scientifically proven to cause 90% of all illnesses as well as weaken your immune system According to Evans (99) among the standard military planning groups in the centre of US war planning operations at Riyadh was "an unbelievable and highly classified program utilizing 'silent sound' techniques". Brain-computer interface (BCI). Initial progress has led to BCIs capable of allowing paralyzed patients to control a cursor with their thoughts, restoring vision for blind patients, and restoring hearing to deaf patients (Beckley 77). The latter BCI is the cochlear implant and is the most successful BCI with approximately 100,000 devices implanted to date. In law enforcement standoff situations, mind control aids as a nonlethal weapon that can be used for causing drowsiness and disorientation in targeted subjects (Beckley 77). This is achieved by increasing the frequency above the atmospheric resonance but preferably through the use of venting acoustic monopoles in the form of a device that inhales and exhales air with sub audio frequency. Dangers of mind control In the attempt to improve on the technology advances, relevant government spending becomes increasingly overwhelming and under public scrutiny it would be a shame for the brilliant and hardworking scientists’ efforts to be misinterpreted, overestimated, doubted, and ultimately undermined. Subliminal Acoustic Manipulation of Nervous Systems: In human subjects, sensory resonances can be energized by subliminal atmospheric acoustic pulses that are tuned to the resonance frequency (Evans 114). The 1/2 Hz sensory resonance has an effect on the autonomic nervous system and may effect relaxation, sexual excitement, drowsiness, or depending on the exact acoustic frequency near 1/2 Hz used. The effects of an increased Hz resonance include; slowness of certain cortical processes, sleepiness, and disorientation. Loss of memory: Individuals who have been exposed for longer periods to radiation waves stand the risk of memory loss Increased injustice: One human being, from hiding, at a distance, can control the thoughts and actions of another, by way of undetectable hypnosis, using still-classified electronic technology (Beckley 77). These devices have totally disabled the world's justice systems. Those who have them use them without any fear of being caught or being prosecuted. In the process of mind control test advancements involuntary test subjects become a necessity. Thus, the phenomenon of people apparently being chosen at random for this "work" induces fear and stress among individuals.
