Today, resources are among the most important predictors of economic strength and development of countries across the globe.

An example of it is the UAE, that has experienced economic growth in a very short period of time only after the discovery of oil. Today, the UAE has become business hub of the whole world. An inequitable distribution of resources paves way for overexploitation of resources by the smallest holdings and its adverse effects are witnessed in all areas ranging from environment to economic development. This trend, if continued, will widen the economic and developmental gap between the first world countries and the third world countries.

The world will be far more globalized in the future. In a highly globalized world, equitable distribution of resources will provide future people with more equality of opportunities, growth and development.
