Describing the Image of Tigers - Essay Example

Green is a natural color to use in this image because it is the color of the environment the tiger usually lives in. It is commonly considered to be a soothing color because it is a cool color. Green is also often associated with the ideas of healing and comfort. Because this is an obvious digital collage, the particular shade of green used in this image could be easily manipulated to be any specific shade. Therefore, it can be assumed that the dark shade of green used in this image is deliberate. This darker shade contributes to the sense of stability and calmness that fills the scene. The darkness is softened by the misty aspect of the background scenery and is brightened by the white tiger and the white waterfall. Orange flowers scattered across the right side of the image balance out the shape of the orange tiger and give the image a sense of unity.

The lines of the image reinforce these same ideas of stability and togetherness. The two tigers lean together making a pyramid shape in the center of the image. This is considered to be the most stable shape possible and suggests a very supportive relationship between the animals. The lines of the background include two vertical columns that offset the diagonals of the tigers.
