United Nations and the international community openly criticized the actions of Mummar Gadaffi and the way he handled the situation. Later, the USA and the EU decided to intervene using the airspace of Syria. This action was done to prevent the further loss of life and to bring sanity back to Syria.
The mock heroic element was used to heighten the shock value of the anti-climax where the writer has made a deliberate role reversal of the characters. The aim was to bring home the irony of the situation and also convey the writer’s opinion of female power.
