This is because, over a long period, the probability should balance out. If, for example, you tossed a coin 10 times and heads came out 8 times out of 10, we could say that this would not be statistically significant because the sample size was not large enough to give a fair representative. What we know from this result is that there is a 50% every time a coin is tossed that it will display heads. Let’s say that heads were tossed 8 times out of 10, then the probability for tails would remain at 50% no matter how many times heads had been flipped. Read More
