To prevent the misuse of guns, the government, and bureaucracy should take certain measures. Otherwise, it would create uncertainty. The government should control the usage of guns; a license policy for guns should be strictly implemented. Drug addicts, mentally challenged people, etc are the fundamental reasons to control the usage of guns.
Gun Control policies:
• The production and licensing of the Guns should be controlled:

Usually, governments use to increase the budgets to buy weapons and for defense purposes. The main motive of that policy is to ensure the defense and security of the country. But they are forgetting the main facts, these weapons could be misused by criminals, terrorists, etc. For example, we can take the situation in the United States. “A school-going kid brings gun to school, and he showed his friends” (The Messenger-Gazette 2011). Some kids tried to sell the gun inside the school compound. This is the best instance showing us that guns and firearms are reaching the wrong hands.

Proper licensing and strict laws should be implemented to prevent this dangerous situation. In countries like Pakistan, there are Gun selling streets and shops; anybody can buy guns and other weapons from those shops without a license. “The market is made up of a warren of small barren brick factories; where upwards of 1,000 guns are manufactured every day, mostly by hand” (Pasternack 2011). All this would lead to dangerous situations and uncertainty. The government should take maximum effort to control the manufacturing and buying of guns.

• Existing laws should be amended and new laws should be enacted.
Existing laws should be amended because there would be some loopholes in it. Those loopholes should be covered. And also required laws should be enacted. By doing this, the misuse of guns would get decreased. Government should enact laws that forbid anyone buying or selling a certain type of fire Arm., this rule should target the gun only.
• Standardize and control gun security and carrying.

The government should enact limitations on who could buy or keep guns. The safety department has to issue permits to carry guns for the appropriate individuals. They have to ensure that the guns are not reaching in the wrong hands. The government and the safety authority must provide guidelines for safety use of guns.
“One-third of all families in America that have children also have guns, and more than 40 percent of them don't keep their guns locked up. Children younger than eight can't tell the difference between a real gun and a toy, and 3-year-olds are strong enough to pull the trigger on a real gun” (Gun Safety 2010).

Conclusion
The government should control gun usage. Reaching these guns into the wrong hands could create a big threat to society. The government could control the use of guns by undergoing various measures like preventing the misuse of guns and controlling the production and licensing of Guns, new laws should be brought up and passed to control the usage and production of guns. Various regulations and guidelines must be provided by the authorities. Read More
