Extract of sample "Richness and Emotion in Gary Kulesha's Works"

 In 1995, Gary Kulesha joined the Toronto Symphony Orchestra as a composer-advisor. The Orchestra took his ‘Gates of Times’ on their American tour in 1999 while his ‘The True Color of the Sky’ was taken the next year on the European tour. He is the youngest composer to be named the Composer of the year by Canada. For his achievements, Gary Kulesha was honored with the first National Arts Centre Orchestra Composer Award. He has been nominated twice for the Juno award, once for his ‘Third Chamber Concerto’ in 1990 and again in the year 2000 for ‘The Book of Mirrors’. In 2002, he took part in the international Double Reed Convention and co-directed the Chamber Orchestra Program of the new Banff center (Gary Kulesha Biography).

Presently, Gary Kulesha is a teacher at the renowned University of Toronto where he teaches composition and theory and holds the position of director of the Contemporary Music ensemble. He has earned great repute in his lifetime and is an asset to his country.
