Fidel Castro Versus Adolf Hitler Fidel Castro was born in 1926 in Oriente, a province in eastern Cuba. He is the son of Angel Castro who was a rich man who had his sugar plantations and Lina Ruz Gonzalez who was the maid of Angel Castro’s first wife. He later on grew up to become a revolutionist in the region of Cuba and is sometimes referred to as an autocratic leader. Adolf Hitler was born on 19th April 1889 and was a German politician cum dictator who ruled Germany for a decade. Adolf Hitler and Fidel Castro are sometimes referred together as great leaders in the history of the world.
But altogether these two leaders had several differences in their personality and actions. Adolf Hitler ruled Germany as a dictator and earned his position through politics whereas Fidel Castro is a revolutionist who overturned the American backed government in Cuba. Fidel Castro fought a revolution for the people of Cuba whereas Adolf Hitler wanted everything for himself. Hitler was a determined man who had the aim of conquering the whole Europe whereas Castro does not have any such aim of conquering the world.
The people of Cuba still admire Castro because of his policies whereas many coups were organized to overthrow the government of Adolf Hitler because of his dictatorship. Along with these certain both leaders also share certain characteristics which revolve around their personality. Both Hitler and Castro are known as dictators in the history of this world because of their firm belief in communism. Both are at times designated as killers because under their regime they are held responsible for the killing of many people.
Hitler had a plan of killing all the Jews and is considered to be responsible for the death of nearly 40 million people and Castro has the same desire of killing any individual who raises a voice against him. Another special characteristic which both the leaders shared was their hate for the United Nations. Hitler in his times had to fight a war against the Allied forces and Castro still has some reservations about the United Nations. The hate of Castro can be witnessed in the Cuban Missile Crisis which occurred because of him.
Fidel Castro is considered to be a great leader of history who revolutionized the state of Cuba. Though Cuba was independent since 1902, there was great interference of the United States of America in all its policies. Its leaders were all pro American, working according to the demands of the United States. It was Fidel Castro who got Cuba its true freedom. He is considered to be a brave figure because he took a stand against the United States by overthrowing Fulgencio Batista, a dictator who shaped the policies of Cuba according to the commands of United States.
Adolf Hitler was a man of his word but he was also a true dictator who is still remembered for his strict policies. He helped in making Germany a superior military power but some of his decisions went wrong which proved to be fatal for him. He was a charismatic leader through which he was able to satisfy the whole lobby. Hitler is still the most famous dictator of all times. References: Top of Form Balfour, Sebastian. Castro.
