An Article Review The paper en d “Fuzzy multi-instanton knots in the fabric of space–time and Dirac’s vacuum fluctuation” by M.S. El Naschie presents a fuzzy multi-instanton and knot theory for modeling vacuum fluctuation. The paper aims to argue for a non-conventional view point that instantons, as well as their expectation number, may be put in direct connection with the 8064 particle-like state at ultra high energy as well as being the precursor for the particles of the standard model.

In addition, the author wishes to establish that instantons are the knotted link between the two. Furthermore, the author attempts to use the research in this paper to support the E-infinity theory of high energy Physics. The paper’s analysis is supposedly motivated as well as stimulated by the successful application of the Chern–Simon theory. To say the very least, it seems that the author’s work is nothing more than a bunch of calculations and observations that were put together to make it seem like it made sense. Aside from the fact that the paper is highly subjective about its own quality (with statements like “Results of ingeniously simple actual experiments” and “This is an extremely informative table for the relation between knot theory and high energy particle physics” leaving no room for objectivity), all it seems to do is put together bits and pieces of odd calculations so that it can be manipulated enough to come up with the results that the author wishes to arrive at.

In other words, rather than establishing a sound proof that his claims are substantial, the author simply pegged his claim to be true and worked his way into deriving some sense of correlation between his claim and the “proof” he established. Other than his “fuzzy” way of substantiating his claims, the author largely uses his own previous “research” and “findings” to support such claims. Overall, it would seem that the paper in review has not really established any worthwhile findings.

Furthermore, this reviewer is inclined to believe that if ever this paper is cited in the future, it will be done so by none other than the author himself. Where this paper is concerned, the reader was simply immersed in a fuzzy string of explanations and a persistently tangled knot in one’s mind.
