Apart from this Steven (group leader) had sent an email to all of us consisting names and email addresses of the group member. He also brought to our notice Hassan and Khalifa from the MGT3710 class. Throughout the conversation, all the group members appeared to be very active and motivated to give their best. We decided to have our 1st group meeting in the next class. On 29th January, we had our first meeting in the class at about 11:35 am. We had a new member added to the group. Along with the new member, the rest of the group was informed and instructed about the job regarding the 3710 class.

The group members were asked to advise and supervise the 3710 class but did not give them any ideas. Everyone in the group was comfortable with the given information. The group's mission was to collect 1000$ which will ultimately go to the SEED Program. We had two things to be worked on, 1. To collect about 1000$ which will go to the business school for SEED Program and 2. To make the students of MGT3110 pass the finals. We started discussing with each other and brainstorming different ideas.

Many of us came up with unique ideas to be worked upon. As we were sharing and discussing the ideas we also started noting them down on a piece of paper. We started having individual reactions from the group member on each of the noted ideas which was a great help. Some of the ideas that came across were Providing Transportation to Beaver Ski Resort, Sell Food- Waffles on Wednesdays, Sell Food- Hamburgers by the TSC, Textbook Donations/Dorm Storm for Books, Holding a Tournament, and so on. Regarding the Tournament, Khalifa came up with the unique idea of having a Chess Playing Tournament, as we never had the game of Chess in our school.

We asked our group leader to mail this idea to all the members so that everyone can give their views and pros & cons about the idea. We decided to meet for our next meeting in the library. On the 5th of February, we had our next meeting in the Library. Each of the group members had their views about each of the idea that was listed. So we decided to put our views on paper and asked the group members to put down the pros & cons of each idea. From the number of ideas listed, we finalized the 1st and the 4th idea.

The 1st idea was to buy some shelves and different items made from wood, repaint all of them and beautifully fix them. The 2nd idea was to arrange a tournament of a video game named CALL of DUTY on XBOX 360. Hassan and Khalifa who had suggested the chess tournament loved this idea about video games. On 12 February, we had our fourth meeting. After having about 20 minutes of talk with Professor Dave of MGT3110 we started our meeting. We decided on Cleanup for Charity as one of our main events.

By the 28th of February, we were supposed to advertise the spring-cleaning pickup event in the three selected neighborhoods. The advertisement will be done by placing ads on community flyers, on community bulletins, and by including an ad in one of the local religious bulletins. On Saturday, March 6th, the group of business students decided to team up with local volunteers and the BSA to pass out the flyers to our selected neighborhood. These flyers were to provide information to the residents about the services that we were going to provide, dates and timings of the services, and make them aware of our goals of donating all the proceeds to the SEED Program.

Our meeting went well and we all were happy with both of our ideas of cleaning up the community and collecting goods to be sold to raise money for the SEED Program. Professor Dave was of great help by providing files of different projects done by the students of previous semesters. Our group seemed excited to be benefited from the available material to have ideas about the activities and file organization.
