Running head: scope of work related to practicum site 7th August Hill Crest Behavioral Hospitalis a mental health hospital which has the aim of assisting mentally challenged persons. The mentally ill patients are prone to risk factors and others take advantages to trick them and thus they are infected with diseases like Hiv/Aids, sexually transmitted diseases among others. During my internship period I, came across many individuals who are mentally ill since I was attached in the infection control department.

One of my expectations is to help the mentally ill individuals by educating them so that they are conscious of healthy disparity so that infection can be reduced among the mentally challenged. The mentally challenged from low social class are more affected since they do not have the facilities to accommodate the patients and to provide daily medication (Thompson, 2007). I have worked for ten years in the infection department where I have an experience while working with this population. Since I am keen in this department, I have noticed a great number of social disparities for those who are under privileged.

My aim is to make sure that high quality life for those who are mentally ill through education and campaigns so that they are respected in the community and in their home backgrounds. With education which is provided either through seminars and counseling, more productive lifestyle will be provided.
