EBP Proposal: Literature Support Proposal: Literature Support The research problem in this case is how to achieve effective management of the cardiovascular congestive heart failure. The congestive heart failure usually occurs in situations when the heart is pump insufficient blood that cannot meet all the demands of the body. This state of events often leads to a number of events in the body some of which have symptoms including leg swelling, shortness of breath, and exercise intolerance. Notably, the congestive heart failure conditions are usually diagnosed physically and confirmed with echocardiogric technology or the echocardiogram.

Nonetheless, it is vital to conduct a blood since the blood test will help in determining the cause of the congestive heart failure (Singh, 2010). Aging usually cause a series of morphological and physiological changes in human being that alter the functions of the cardiovascular thereby leading subsequent increased risk of contracting the congestive heart failure even among individuals with healthy asymptotic. Since in the 1970s, the heart related diseases have been known to be the leading cause of death globally.

Since this era, there has been increased cardiovascular mortality rate in the developing countries; however, a declined death rate caused by the same has declined in most of the high income countries. This disease is usually associated with elderly persons; however, atherosclerosis usually begin in early ages among other persons; thus, making the primary prevention mechanisms or efforts necessary right from childhood. It is worth noting that heart diseases usually lacks cure; therefore, there is emphasis on the prevention and effective management through changing life style and modification of factors that includes health eating, avoiding smoking, and involving in health exercise (Singh, 2010).

In other words, the solution or cure to congestive heart failure is for a person to evade practices and activating that have been identified as the factors that fuel or increase the chances of being attached or infected by the disease. Different research works have been conducted based on different aspects of the congestive heart failure. Notably, this easy shall incorporate three different research works that have been conducted in relation to the management of the congestive heart failure. Panja et al. (2009) conducted a research to determine antihypertensive that will work with the beta blocker effectively.

According to their report, Panja et al. noted that there will be nearly 1.5 billion hypertensive patients by the year 2015 due to the increased aging and obesity that has rocked the developed and developing nations. Therefore, since beta blockers have remained effective for treating hypertension since 1980, they recommend for the extended use of the same medicine as an antihypertensive drug. Nonetheless, Panja et al. noted that the use of one drug treat hypertension has remained ineffective; thus, there are needs to look for drugs that shall supplement the beta blockers.

Therefore, in this case, they conducted research for the inclusion of Non- dihydropyridine CCB’s, ACEI/ARB, and diuretics due to their symptomatic risks to bradycardia and atrioventricular block. Additionally, the 2010 and 2011 national heart failure report is also significant for this study since it outlines the clinical findings on the heart disease, patient outcomes, and presents associated and vital implementation issues that must be considered in the management of this global disease. Moreover, the report notes that the congestive heart failure disease increasing with age; thus, there are needs to implement appropriate diagnosis, treatment and support to improve quality of life towards reducing morbidity and mortality among the elderly persons among other patients.

This information with effective implementation will help in reducing the length of hospital administration. According to Ryder et al. (2007), patients with acute decompensate heart failure (ADHF) were being readmitted in hospitals frequently. Therefore, they conducted a research to determine safety, feasibility, and result of outpatient under intravenous (IV) diuretic therapy. Their research results determined that administration of intravenous (IV) diuretic therapy was good for ADHF patients since it was cost effective, safe and reduced the rate of hospitalizations.

Since, there experiment setting turned positive in nearly 72 percent of their sample population, they concluded that the use of intravenous (IV) diuretic therapy is vital in managing ADHP patients outside the hospital; thus, reduced the dependency of hospitalization for the ADHF patients. Validity of the Internal and External Research Both the internal and external research conducted in all the above cases/research works are valid since they address vital health concerns and the means through which these health matters can be manage effectively.

In specific instances, Ryder et al. (2007) were examining vital means through which readmission of persons suffering from ADHP could be reduced. With effective methodology, the obtained results of this research revealed that the use of intravenous (IV) diuretic therapy helps in managing ADHP patients outside the hospital; thus, reduced the dependency of hospitalization for the ADHF patients. Additionally, the 2010 and 2011 national heart failure report clearly indicates what areas of the heart disease management need to be addressed and with what speed.

Therefore, this research tries to reduce the gaps that exist in the management of this disease. Finally, Panja et al. research was effective since it was a means of providing alternative and effective antihypertensive drugs. The adoption of these drugs will reduce hospitalization rate of patient suffering from the same. Therefore, all the research works had the merit to be included in the research problem.
