They indicate that medical researchers need to dedicate more research input to the development and identification of strategies that healthcare personnel can use to prevent, detect, and manage ventilator-associated pneumonia. Researchers have conducted quite a significant number of studies regarding this medical issue, but the results have not been readily available to numerous nurses due to the lack of strategic resources for accessing research findings. As a result, Health for All, an American NGO that advocates for universal healthcare, contacted my research institution with a proposal to conduct a study about the ways of detecting, preventing, and managing (VAT).

Researchers bear the ethical obligation of ensuring that their research findings are accessible to all relevant stakeholders, including research participants. To devise effective dissemination strategies, the research team, first of all, developed a dissemination plan. The team made the dissemination plan in the first stages of the research study. In designing the dissemination plan, the research team considered four crucial factors. These include the goals of the dissemination effort, the key stakeholders and the target audience, the medium through which to reach the target audience, and the execution process of the dissemination plan.

The first group who will receive the results of the findings will be the primary stakeholders, who in this case are the financier and the department heads. The researchers have the obligation of presenting the research findings to the financier so that they may determine whether the research has produced significant value for their funds. The findings will be presented to the financiers in the form of a report. This report will detail the objectives of the study, the research techniques, and the findings, and then evaluate the results against the objectives of the study to make it easy for the financier to determine whether the findings meet the research objectives. Following the conclusion of this initial goal, the research team will provide department heads at the research institution with information concerning the research. In this process, the research team will, first of all, send memos and circulars to all the concerned department heads informing them about the successful conclusion of the research, its purpose, and its importance. The team will then send hardcopies and softcopies of all the research material to all the heads, containing information about the rationale behind the research, the methods used to gather data, the research participants, the limitations, the results, and the meeting of all relevant research ethics policies.

The primary target audience of this research is primary care nurses. They bear the greatest need of accessing the research findings so that they may apply them to evidence-based practice and, consequently, improve patient outcomes of ICU patients suffering from ventilator-associated pneumonia. The best possible method of disseminating the research findings is to use media that allow extensive simplification of information, to attract the interest of primary care nurses. The research team will achieve this aim by using flyers, brochures, newsletters, and research briefs. The researcher will distribute the fliers and brochures to hospitals throughout the district, and the hospital authorities will then distribute them to the primary care nurses within the facilities. The flyers, newsletters, and brochures will utilize visual tools such as tables and graphs to present the information in an easily interpretable format. In addition, the research team will use seminars to disseminate the research findings to primary care nurses.

Although primary care nurses along with medical personnel are the greatest stakeholders of this research and, therefore, the primary target audience of the dissemination effort, the research team will also devise measures of disseminating the research findings to the wider nursing community since most nurses have some form of involvement way in support of primary care nurses in their tasks. The team will achieve this aim by writing articles to be published in relevant nursing journals which target all cadres of nurses. The content of these journal articles will focus on the significance of the research findings to evidence-based nursing practice. This method will play a prominent role in making nurses see the significance of this research by establishing links between the research findings and actual nursing practice in the field.

As a secondary measure, the research team will request healthcare agencies interested in the research topic, to disseminate the research findings to the constituents that they serve through their periodic newsletters or their websites. All the strategies highlighted in this paper play a significant role in the dissemination of research information. Thus, they will ensure that primary care nurses and the wider nursing community are familiar with research-established strategies for preventing, detecting, and managing ventilator-associated pneumonia. Therefore, they will help to reduce the high rate of mortality associated with this disease condition.
