? Nursing Final Critique Health and wellness is a concept that requires utmost discipline and consideration of the type, mode and sources of food people consume. In regard to this article, it is evident that food takes the central place in the determination of the health status of an individual. The message being conveyed in this article however points at the methods used by the young generation to classify foodstuffs and the mode of feeding among them. The current global statistics show that the changing societal structure and advent of new social and economic order has greatly influenced the mode of feeding among the people in the entire society. In that respect, the study needs to be taken through further analysis to establish all the issues surrounding this agenda. The young generation tends to copy a number of things from their immediate environment which vary from home to friends. The standing fact is that these young minds are still able to turn into any shape as far as feeding is concerned. It has been noted even in the current US community that the rate at which obesity is eating into the society is a raising concern, and this is all about the poor feeding lessons learnt from the older members of the society. It is this worrying trend in feeding behavior that is responsible for the raging global debate and writing of articles of such titles. Social order in the society has always been very significant in defining what is good or bad and food is not an exception. However, the elderly are barely interested and mostly uncooperative in giving sound reasons and even answering questions about this issue prompting the choice of kids who tend to air the mind as it is in good faith. Cultural beliefs have been identified as one of the greatest enemy of health as far as the definition of healthy against unhealthy foods is concerned. Children aged between 13-15 years are at the center of these cultural myths about some foods against the scientific reality. It is always true that once people are brainwashed from childhood about a given food, they tend to uphold this idea to the great detriment of their health and this is a factor the article clearly indicates. Classification of foods has always been attached to various factors that include physical structure and attitudinal orientation. The research findings also highlight the role of the peer influence and gender based food status ideologies. Definition of healthy food or otherwise has been associated with even unrealistic facts in total disregard to the scientific proof about their nutritious value, energy content and side effects. Such research studies still have information gaps especially in the sense that they don’t capture the small factors that are also significant in explaining the current classification of food substances. It is worth noting that the increasing rate at which globalization is consuming people’s habits has a hand in even the foodstuffs that people prefer. The media have contributed through their virtual presentation of what is nutritious and worth feeding on by the people. The results obtained from the experiments involving the perception of the children on whether the food is healthy or otherwise show the degree of laxity that people have always attached to the feeding patterns among themselves and their children. In respect of the impending health related dangers that may result from negligent observation of the scientifically recommended foods. The society needs to do further research so appropriate measures are formulated to curb this trend before it gets out of hand. In respect of the article about the views held by the children about various food products, it is evident that parents have the major role in realigning the belief about food. Critique # 2 Two- Qualitative Research Healthcare is a vital issue in the society since it deals with the life of the people directly. It is therefore imperative that anything to do with health is given utmost attention and care. In the context of health care professionalism, it is vital to consider the quality of healthcare given to the members of the society. Health care provision is a pre-requisite of any meaningful development in the society. This explains why training of quality nursing professionals is crucial. The article in focus presents experience as one of the best tools that can take healthcare sector to greater heights. Nursing students have raised some important concerns that address the way forward to delivering quality health care to the patients. The basic idea behind this is that the education sector that formulates syllabus need to structure the course with inclusion of experience oriented learning mode. The curriculum development in nursing needs to capture the period for reconciling the theoretical work the students undertake against the real life. Many students of nursing have gambled with the lives of patients due to limited experience in handling the instruments and the patients as well. It has been found out from past research and day to day experience that nurses and clinical officers need a lot of practice which would help them to develop much greater insight into an effective clinical education. Qualitative research study on this issue exposes some of the weak points of nursing as far as clinical practice is concerned. It has been observed that some common themes arise from the healthcare officers in respect of the demands of the job. There is the problem of initial clinical anxiety. This is quite real in the sense that when the students finish and clear their health care course, they remain with one option of joining the employment pack. However, they feel they are half baked since they are expected to handle patients with high standard and nurse them with accuracy yet they don’t even have a clue as to how to do this. It is not easy for these clinic officers to handle the patients and offer quality treatment. This always ends up leaving the clinical officers and nurses with nothing. Anxiety among the student is always inevitable because of the high expectation by the society of these people. To arm the clinical officers and nurses with preparation for the hard work, it is in order to ensure that they are taken through hands-on job training with supervision from assigned seniors. This will help in inculcating the spirit of success in them. To boost the level of experience in the clinical and nursing profession, the learners need to be engaged in proper understanding of the nursing principles. This has the effect of making the health care providers develop creative and critical thinking in their day to day work life. There come some circumstances in which the basic knowledge and the nursing rules have to alter to save life and this is where creative mind does wonders. Take the case where a patient develops a complication and an immediate action, which may not be acceptable by the healthcare laws, is bound to help. In such circumstances, the life comes first. Awareness of the existence of stress as a common companion of the nursing and clinical job will also train the mind to develop internal mechanisms of going through the stress period. Another important concept that needs serious consideration is the practice-theory gap challenge. It is common to find that most people do well in class work as they learn healthcare lessons and attain very good grades. As they face the job market or clinical set up in this case, they are barely able to deliver in any complicated healthcare discourse. This has really worked against attaining the relevant experience due to mismatch of the ability of the officer against the actual work in the field. This is a problem arising from poor curriculum development by the government, other nursing and clinical training institutes. What needs to be stressed by the policy makers within the healthcare sector is the adoption of practical oriented learning with shorter assessment tests intervals. This is only achievable when there is a standardized mode of supervising and assisting appropriately the trainees, where possible. Internship should capture all the practical clinical experiences that the trainees are expected to face when absorbed in work. It is quite important that the nurses are given a complete doze of what is professionally expected of them. Ethical standards and relevant legal structure that guide the work of the nurses and clinical officers sets a pace for them. The article has addressed some of the issues surrounding clinical and nursing experience, perhaps slightly overlooking the environmental influence on the performance of these professionals and the role of internal motivation in achieving necessary experience.
