ical Music, Beethovan, Verdi & Wagner ical Music is the form of music originated in the tradition of Western Art from 9th century to the 20th century. The term is used as the synonym for the Western Art Music and it encompasses the musical styles and approaches. The period of the Classical Music is considered as the mediocre age between Medieval and Modern Period. Classical music is primarily a written musical tradition and it is preserved in music notation, and it is not transmitted orally. The use of music notation is the effective mode of transmitting classical music but the written work consists only of the technical mode.

Classical music had absorbed themes from popular music and is culturally durable. It is defined by the structure most notably by Sonata form. But the form of classical music is considered as an outfit of popular music and it is a form of academic music with extended techniques and is beautiful on the surface. Classical music can be understood as a revolt against the musical trends of the preceding or Baroque era. Classicism concerned for the musical form on clarity based on concised melodic expression and clarity of instrumental color.

Beethoven, who sought solitude and was concerned with intuition rather than sensation, was notorious for Anti-Semitism. He was a German composer of Classical music, and was considered as an important figure in the transitional period between the Classical and Romantic period. He was most sensitive and quarrelsome but was a successful musician of quality. So far as it concerns Concerned to family affairs, Beethovan was a failure but in the case of musical composition, he was a genius and his personality was some thing that buzzled with talent.

He was widely known for his symphonies and chamber work but he was not considered as a famous opera composer. He strongly believed in brotherhood, freedom and God. He worked hard to express his feelings regarding his inner life, was incredibly intelligent and was willing to work hard. When he tried to please the crowd, his composition lacked the quality of his older compositions. When Beethovan decided to give up his life because of his deafness, music kept him away from suicide. Beethovan used classical music in its original ways, by sticking to its rigid framework.

The word Romanticism originated from the age old chivalry and adventure which was rooted in the Middle Ages. Beethovan was much taken by the ideals of the enlightenment and by French Revolution in Europe and he believed in universal brotherhood. The Romantic Period consisted of the aesthetic approach, especially in literature, and other art forms. Beethoven was called a Romantic by his contemporaries such as Spohr and E.T.A. Hoffman. However, he was influenced by the Romantic Folk Idioms and he set dozens of Romantic poems for voice, piano, and violin.

It was quite amazing that when Beethoven created his masterpieces, he was in distress burdened with many personal problems. But despite the conflicts in his life he remained committed to the art and his legacy to the music form will ever remain unsurpassed Giuseppe Verdi, who was more than a composer, was a dramatist, and an artist who used music as an instrument to convey the art of classical drama. His contributions to Classicism were 28 Operas, which were purely dramatic compositions. “No one would ever accuse Giuseppe Verdi of being a classicist at heart but his string quartet has this same view at its heart-- it is an intimate home entertainment.

Along with his 28 operas Verdi wrote a famous Requiem and Four beautiful Sacred pieces for choir, a handful of occasional pieces and.one string quartet, not only his one piece of chamber music, but his one and only piece of purely instrumental music.” (Mendelssohn, Verdi, Dvorak, 2002). Richard Wagner, a German by birth was notorious for Anti-Semitism and his compositions were thrown out of almost every major city in Central Europe. Ring of The Nibelang was an ironic and humorous work by Wagner and his other important works are Adia, Otello, Falstaff, Die Meister singer and Parsifal.

Classical music was the popular music and it was a revolt against the tradition.
