Longworth, (2003,p11) notes that it is firstly, lifelong’, learning from ‘cradle to grave’ and does not simply relate to the adult part of our lives or the continuous professional development of the acquisition of skills. Secondly, it is ‘learnin’, “doing things in a different way, creating an out and out focus on the needs and demands of the learner”.
