These are just few of those things which were considerably remarkable with life fifty years ago according to the history blog. The truth about the matter, especially when people try to look back and reminisce, the tendency is always to be selective and think of only those which were beautiful. Realistically it is not the same way as people try to paint life back then. Older people make the world fifty years ago to be the benchmark of what is good life. But fifty years ago was fifty years ago and it can never happen again.
And it is a good thing that life goes on progressively. Let me take you once again to what was life back then. About fifty years ago tuberculosis was impossible to cure and so were many diseases. Trains were fueled by steam engines and it takes long hours of travel to get into one place. Communication systems were so bad that in order for one person to inform a family of any happening it would take several days. Computers were not seen inside the house back then. There was World War II, and the bombing of Pearl Harbor happened. In other words, as much as older folks want to remember a perfect life they had way back fifty years ago, the truth of the matter is, there are still many things today that are better than that particular time in history.
