Anthropologists often study the behavioural changes of people based on the data collected from the societies. In order to collect data anthropologists normally adopt different methods. This paper explains the methods of collecting and interpreting data by anthropologists using lesbian party. In order to study the behaviours of lesbians, I have sought the help of a lesbian couple. For convenience we can consider, person X as guyish and person Y as girly. X agreed to take me to a birthday party of their community.

I have started my data collection from X’s family itself. X was very much interested in sports activities especially football, which was evident from the posters, fixed on the walls of her room. These posters include the pictures of one of our local teams Al- Saad team and AC Milan. Moreover, I have also witnessed a jersey signed by Milan striker Ronaldino. These posters clearly indicated that even though X was a lesbian, she never hated other normal personalities. Like all the normal people X also was attracted by the celebrity culture of these personalities even though she was not infatuated to them sexually.

X was a shortish, 153 cm girl, with short hair and have nose pierced. She has a slight hunchback and was wearing a black shirt with a picture of a skull and baggy jeans shorts and a red Ferrari cap. She opened the door and gave me a firm handshake and received me like all the other normal people do. The short hair and the dresses were clear indications of her lesbian nature. Moreover, she has shook my hands just like a male and her nature of communication and greeting styles all were similar to that of a male.

She has worn a tie and a shoe like her male counterparts. In short, she made deliberate attempts to look and behave like a normal male. On our journey to the party place X told me that she want to pick Y also. X’s vehicle was a range rover which is normally used by
