Add one component/trait from your perspective that would make his description of what it takes to be a great leader more complete. The great leader should work in “first in, last out” basis. Not only that a leader should take care of all his followers but also guide them throughout the process. He must teach them the intricacies of a work and how this work can be done in the best feasible way. A leader must guide his people to achieve their goal. They must communicate the goals of the organization clearly to the employee of the company.
Leader must monitor and teach people to grow and also try to unify them according to the organization’s culture, tradition and value. A leader must discharge his own duties. He must not complain about the failure of his followers, he should remain unmoved by the ingratitude of the mankind and inappreciation of public. He must not get disgusted with any of these things. He must not blame others for any discrepancies that might happen. He should be free from any kind of selfishness because it might drift him away from achieving the organizations goal.
Information plays an very important role in the effective leadership. It helps the leader to uncover the underlying truth, to understand the real issue in the organization. Sometimes the exact information may not be readily available but leader needs to find the smoke. A smoke is the clue of a fire. It can lead to the information that a leader is looking for. A leader must probe, investigate and question to understand the fact. A leader must not get confused and should remain focused all the time during his information searching.
Sometimes people may fake the information but its up to the leader to find out the truth.
