The company is involved in a range of services like in the metal industry, construction systems, and construction. The company is originally based in Tokyo, Japan. The core competence of the company is its integrated corporate strength, and they are referring to a solid business foundation in diverse functions. The competence of the company satisfies the customers’ diversifying needs. Sumitomo Corporation cultivated the trust of their customers and they ensure that their customers entrust their business to safe hands.

Sumitomo Corporation has 190 offices and 350 subsidiaries worldwide and their business is providing a global network to secure transfer of funds, goods, and information. Based on the practices of the company, the company established close and multi-faceted relations with their business partners globally and they are promoting cross-cultural communication worldwide. The company considered these efforts as their valuable assets and they are gearing toward focusing on advanced information technology.

The company gives value to intellectual capital which comprised the accumulated skilled personnel in diverse fields as part of their solid foundation (Sumitomo Corporation, 2008). Political and Legal System of Tokyo, Japan: Most of the decision power in their government is directed by the lower House and they are the party that achieved the majority of the House. The political parties in Japan are created in the 19th-century ad it changes constantly such as splitting of factions, regrouping that commonly cause confusion to the public.

Tokyo, Japan is a parliamentary monarchy and currently headed by a Prime Minister. The upper House of Councilors and the lower House of Representatives are the elements in their bicameral parliament called Diet.
