Employees experiencing technostress may display a variety of signs (Day, Paquet, Scott, & Hambley, 2012). One has to understand these vital signs before engaging in a support plan. Anxiety, frustration, sadness and low productivity are some of the typical signs of technostress. Before developing the support scheme, I would identify employees who feel alone and find it hard to communicate with other people. Such signs indicate that technology is dominating their lives. Some vital signs also include irritability, headaches, mental fatigue and a feeling of helplessness.

Increase in errors poor job performance and reduced job satisfaction are some other signs of technostress (Day, Paquet, Scott, & Hambley, 2012). When the signs are evident, the support plan can now be formulated that specifically addresses these issues. Based on the signs of technostress, a possible support program can offer excellent user support and create an exciting environment for employees to use new tools and technologies. Managers should motivate employees to use IT in an efficient manner while at the same time balance work and ordinary life.

Based on the signs, clear guidelines can also be set particularly for technology use and availability outside the workplace and working hours.
