The current paper aims to present crucial information regarding campus crime statistics in The University of Findlay and to compare the statistics with three universities located in the Ohio area. The following report details the information which was found on the U.S. Department of Education site (The Campus Safety and Security Data Analysis Tool). The universities were selected according to the number of enrollees: those with more than 15,000 enrollees (Ohio State University, University of Dayton, and Cleveland State University) versus those with less than 5,000 enrollees (Central State University, Shawnee State University, and Wittenberg University).

For simplicity, the following categories of crimes would be disclosed for the year 2013: criminal offenses on campus and arrests on campus. The results would be presented in tabular format to highlight comparative details:

From the results, one could deduce that the crime statistics reported in the University of Findlay for the year 2013 had been the least among the universities that were evaluated in the state of Ohio. Of all criminal offenses on campus, the University of Findlay reported the least number of offenses (2) with the least number of arrests (5). Only Wittenberg University reported a similar number of arrests (5) with violations of drug abuse and liquor law. The arrests of 5 for the University of Findlay were all for liquor law violations. Despite the universities being categorized as recording the most number of enrollees (more than 15,000) as compared to the universities with a lesser number of enrollees (less than 5,000), it was evident that crime offenses still occur. The Ohio State University exhibited the greatest number of criminal offenses for 2013 totaling 61 and the greatest number of arrests totaling 233.

The crime statistics comparing universities in Ohio revealed that the University of Findlay is among the most peaceful, safe, and secure universities in the area under review.
