For instance, I would make it a policy that the locals should have a considerable stake in terms of shares in any foreign-owned business in my country.

In most cases, there is a tendency by the investors to repatriate all the wealth to their nations so I would put policies that are meant to retain some of the proceeds from their operations so that they can be channeled into the economy. The locals should have a certain percentage of shares so that they can also be in a position to control their resources to uplift their welfare. I would also enact policies that are designed to promote acceptable working conditions. Some investors tend to exploit the local people so I would make sure that the labor laws are designed in such a way that the interests of the workers are protected. These policies would also help to ensure that the working conditions in the country are free and fair.

Indeed, I would like to be a hegemon. I must preserve the local values of my people at all costs since there is a risk of erosion of these values as a result of the infiltration of foreign culture in other countries. The risk of this foreign culture is that it destroys the moral fabric of the society and people often end up getting confused about issues related to their culture and identity. However, there are certain challenges of being a hegemon. It may not be easy to control the information people consume daily as a result of developments in new information and communication technology such as the internet as well as satellite broadcasting. It is easy for citizens to access foreign content which is characterized by the values of the other people from the internet since this medium of communication is not owned by anyone.

I would like to take multilateral action based on the agreements made in conjunction with other member states so that my country does not operate in isolation. This would help my country to get assistance from other member countries during times of crisis. If multilateral action is taken, there are high chances that my country would attract investors on the basis that it would be regarded as a democracy by other countries.

The major goal of the state in this case is to ensure equitable redistribution of wealth among all native citizens. Being the original people who belong to the state, the citizens have the right to enjoy the benefits of their wealth. They also have the right to preserve some of the natural resources for future generations to uplift their welfare as well. Apart from mineral resources, other natural resources such as trees, wildlife as well as tourist attractions should be utilized to the fullest so that the citizens can gain economically from these. On the other hand, intangible resources like culture and values should be preserved for the betterment of future generations since they may be able to distinguish themselves from the other groups. Identity for a given group is very important.
