General electric The corporation has a talent plan that aims to acquire, engage, and retain talented employees. The plan efficiently performs this task in a realistic and practical manner. The plan is beneficial to the company as it ensures exceptional talents work to attain maximum gains. The process of employing talent in production is that it leads to innovation and improved product quality, therefore, the plan benefits the company in the end.
The plan aimed at motivating employees, on the other hand, provides an incentive for boosting the morale of employees. The opinion of the employees towards work and the work place enhanced to increase the productivity due to the determination of the company to attain its goals (David, Steve, and Ron, 78). The programs are implementable and yield more economical returns in contrast to the required input. The plan also focuses on all the required sectors of the organization to achieve motivation across all sectors of the company.
The leaders in each area of the company provided with plans to facilitate their operations. The company occasionally provides training to its leaders to improve the management and leadership function within the company. Whenever a change of leadership methods employed occurs the company embraces he change and implements it within an appropriate timeline. The companys human resource operates on guidelines to ensure productivity and relevance of human resource practices.
The company works at enhancing its public image through the production of goods that are customer oriented and providing value added services to its consumers. Enhancing the public image targets at improving the image of the company by the provision of satisfactory services. The main facilitator for improving the image of the company is through the social media. The plan puts into consideration the reservations of the customer as in order to avoid resistance to change.
The company provides continuous training to its employees to ensure that the employees are conversant with the ever-changing methods employed in the production process. Although the training occurs occasionally, the company ensures that the relevant knowledge required in the production is available to employees. The workers have the liberty to join unions, and they voice their concerns through the unions. The unions facilitate the collective bargaining by employees. The strategy is to have all the employees under a similar trade union to reduce conflicts. Although the desired plan to improve the association with the unions, this plan lacks timeliness. The primary aim of the company is to decrease employer turn over.
A high employee turnover requires the company to make investment both financially and time in order to train new employees and inform them of the operations of the business. David, Steve, and Ron argue that the goal of the organization is to reduce the finances and time devoted to training these employees through decreased turnover (154). The initial training of the employees tends to require a lot of time and resources. In relation to business acquisition and integration, it is necessary to note that the company integrates the staff from the acquired business. These employees integrated into the company in order to save training and development time require training new employees. The strategy developed here ensures that there is talent retention and engagement within this integrated structure. The integrated business aligns with the company in order to achieve uniformity in production.
