Marketing Nike Company is an American multinational business corporation that deals with the designing, creation and global marketing and merchandising of apparel, footwear, accessories, equipments, and services. The company’s headquarters is at Beaverton Oregon. Nike is the world’s top supplier of apparel and athletics shoes and one of the most popular manufacturers of sports equipments worldwide. The multinational corporation has realized revenues exceeding 24.1 billion dollars as of may 31st 2012.

The company’s brand alone is valued at 10.7 billion U.S dollar, this made the company to be rated as the most valuable brand among the entire sport’s business fraternity The company has been able to increase its market share substantially through product differentiation. It produces a wide a range of sports products and equipments ranging from running shoes, jerseys, shorts, shoes famously known as the Nike Air Max, etc used in a great variety of sporting activities. This includes baseball, tennis, track and field, ice hockey, basketball, soccer, and cricket.

The company continuously strives to introduce new products to its shelves to be at a better competitive edge compared to its competitors. Latest additions to their product lines include specially designed shoes for skateboarding, cricket, and basketball. They also design products putting environment concerns in mind. This has made the company to be one of the environmental friendly company’s in the world. During the research on the Nike Company, I visited some of the major outlets such as the Niketown store, Nike factory store and the Nike running store to find out the various products offered.

This was mainly because of the huge product lines found in the stores. Furthermore, they are the perceived Nike major outlets in the U.S. At the Niketown store, athletes from all the various sports apparel, accessories, footwear, and equipments that are inevitable for them to reach their full potential. The store has incorporated strong archival and multimedia displays of the Nike’s most memorable moments and great partnerships. The running and factory store enhances supports and celebrates the culture of running on and off the field.

Here, aspiring athletes will definitely find support, footwear, equipments, and sportswear that are necessary in achieving their aspirations. In conclusion, Nike has proven to be the leader in the sports business industry especially with its innovative trade experiences repeatedly.
