Leadership involves making of imperative decisions that affect the life of certain groups or individuals; these decisions are majorly arrived at through consultations and interaction with various group leaders or even other group members.
Lessons learned from the video
Consultation is an important aspect of leadership; leaders of a tribe usually conduct consultations in order to make decisions that may affect their individual tribes. Additionally, everybody belongs to a specific tribe that is distinct from others by various cultural values. The development of tribes occurs in different stages; the first stage is usually characterized by individual-centered ideas whereby each person views life negatively and tends to behave in horrible manners. The second stage is caused by cultural characteristics which make people perceive their lives as unattractive.
Consequently, the third stage of tribal development involves a situation whereby people tend to develop positive feelings about their lives and tend to think it is great while in the real sense, it is not. The fourth of tribal development is characterized by a situation where individuals are united by similar positive achievements that are distinct from other tribes and hence view themselves as great. Lastly, in the fifth stage, people perceive life as great and come together to make decisions that affect the entire tribe.
I also learned that leaders have a great influence on the lives of each individual tribe member and have the responsibility to reach all the members, especially at stage one of tribal development in order to enable the tribe to move to the second stage. Leaders also have the responsibility to connect the tribe with other tribes through interaction and consultation with others.
Tribes and Plans activity
To begin with, I will apply the knowledge on consultation between different tribal leaders to conduct consultation with other leaders in order to facilitate the attainment of my group’s objectives as well as goals. In the planning of the Group’s activities, I would conduct meetings with my group members in order to formulate common development objectives hence reducing conflicts that may occur. This knowledge has also increased my understanding that it is imperative for leaders to unite their groups with other groups in order to promote peace and development.

Self Reflection analysis
The results of the self-reflection analysis are based on three major facets of leadership with each having several characteristics. They are; dynamism, competence, and trustworthiness. A leader should be dynamic in nature in order to fit in different features of operation and it is also important that leaders focus on competency which involves the possession of crucial skills that will promote efficient operations. Consequently, trustworthiness is another important characteristic of leadership as it promotes transparency and prevents the occurrence of conflicts.
