Download file to see previous pages The assessor would take a risk assessment of the equipment to find out the relevant testing frequency. The time frames for the equipment would also be set. A person who is competent would be engaged in equipment testing. Thirdly, the tags and grants for electrical testing should be provided to the sites so as to help in the portable electrical equipment testing. The number of host sites would be identified, and resourced by testing tags and testing appliances. The training would then be organized for the electrical testers that are nominated. Fourthly, the individual sites would engage the trained staff members to take part in the testing. This trained staff member contacts the host sites so as to make an arrangement of access to the tags and testing equipment.

Part b.
From the hazard assessment and evaluation of risks in the workplace of the assessment candidates, there were different types of breaches in the health and safety of the site. The common breaches found were that key precautions of the site were missing. The edge protection for the prevention of falls from a given height was missing managers of the site were poorly trained, the workers on the site had no protection uniforms while making use of lime water three workers worked at height having no measure like the antislip checking, the work done in the site had no planning, and there were inadequate facilities for welfare for workers in the site. Furthermore, the manager of the site was on a holiday during the inspection period. This site, therefore, was guilty of the safety breaches and had to be fined.

There are different types of responsibilities of an assessor during the assessment of the OHS unit in response to the emergency situation. In this respect, the assessor is responsible for identifying hazards, health, welfare, and safety risks within the environment of assessment, providing and maintaining a safe assessment environment, providing and maintaining the health and safety facilities for the assessment candidates during the assessment, making sure that types of equipment and plant machinery in the assessment environment is designed, set up, made, and maintained so as it can be safe for all the candidates; ensuring that assessment systems do not expose the candidates into some hazards during the assessment, following the requirements of safety legislation. ...Download file to see next pages Read More
