For illustration, this is evident in the manner how “Military support” terminology has varied over the years. Mainly, it has assumed terms like “military assistance”, or “military support to civil authorities; military support of the society’s defense; and employment of military resources in natural disaster operations inside US (Buchalter 2007). Alice R. Buchalter in her article highlights the Military continued intervention evolution since the era of Truman (DAgostino, 2008). Its core aim since then to date, which is evident in the cited sources (Acts, Regulations and executive documents) entails offering adequate security and comfort to natives.

Besides, it presents the chronological of events and their related proceedings, which have ensured evolution of military support, since the inception of its operations’ integration with the Homeland Security. In addition, in ensuring adequate security to the natives, Buchalter according to the numerous Acts and regulations regarding the extent of the DoD’s operations, reports of the incidents, which requires military intervention (DAgostino, 2008). These encompass national disasters where the homeland security cannot adequately handle owing to their complexities or intensities
