Summary of the Article “Sugar Can Make You Dumb, Scientists Warn” -- (AFP) F. Gomez-Pinilla claimed “Our findings illustrate that what you eat affects how you think” based on the experimental studies with lab rats which exhibited different brain responses after being subjected to drink high-fructose corn syrup solution with and without DHA. The professor noted the decline in synaptic activity with the rat group that lacked the DHA as the rats indicated trouble in recalling maze routes which they had been trained to memorize in 6 weeks. Researchers also figured that besides memory loss, resistance to insulin generated as well in the absence of DHA where such findings meant that excessive fructose intake may inhibit the insulin’s action of regulating cellular activity with sugar. Since insulin is a hormone that is not only responsible for controlling blood sugar level in the body, if not properly regulated, it may further cause disturbance on memory and the brain’s learning ability according to Gomez-Pinilla. It is therefore essential to incorporate omega-3 fatty acids rich in DHA on an average American diet consisting of over 40 pounds of high-fructose corn syrup consumed annually.

...that “retailers love consumers’ increased acceptance of private brands.” The styles that attract sales are not available in whole sale stores from where Sugar stores are making purchases. Accordingly the purchasing approach of Sugar is rather negative. Management of Sugar is not interested in taking risks and that is why sales at such stores are a cause of concern. Wholesales stores sell economic brands that are meant for masses and not for classes. Sugar stores can increase volume of sales but certainly not the value of sales. ...of authority figures. It has in the past been dubbed as an “angry” type of music (McWhorter 9). This is because its artists are never calm when performing it. There are no ‘calm’ Hip Hop songs. Hip Hop artists are characterized by the fact that they shout their music and make angry or antisocial gestures that in another era would have been viewed as encouraging social strife. This music is popular with teenagers because they find a place where they can express their inwardly-held angst at changes they are experiencing that are uncomfortable without being judged. However, McWhorter’s point of contention is that whereas the youth of other ethnicities move on and leave Hip Hop behind as they become surer...
