I found out about Santa Clara from the different outside school functions and projects that you have. I find it very interesting that the university is able to encourage their students, faculty and staff in helping out the community in various ways. I learned about Santa Clara University first from community and outreach programs that the students have started, either for the school itself or for their own organizations. I find these projects as full of heart and charitable, not because of the funds it may raise or generate, but because of the laughter, fun and happiness it is able to share to different people.

These projects also help enlighten, not only the participants, but also other people of the situation of the community. Sharing experiences with each other and with other people is one of the most important gift that these participants are able to give other people. The many projects of the Santa Clara University appealed to me. Actually, this is one of the aspects of the university that made it a top choice for me. I find their programs beneficial, not only for me but also for the community.

I want to become a productive member of my community, and through Santa Clara University, I will be able to be that. Another important aspect that made me consider Santa Clara University is its diverse population. The university accepts the different backgrounds of their students without question. They encourage open discussion and teach respect and value for another’s opinion. Aside from the fact that the university offers the degree I prefer, they also give me other opportunities to learn and grow as an individual and as a member of the community.
