It clearly stipulates that employers take the sole responsibility of ensuring that the workplace is safe and healthy. The manager will therefore have a comprehensive guide on what he/she should implement or invest in (OSHA, 2011).For a company manager to ensure effective implementation of safety and health aspects in the workplace, they need to ensure that any project undertaken follows the set standards.

The manager is well informed on the possible citations and penalties which have been revised with most being scaled upwards. A manager should, therefore, be a good friend of the manual in order to ensure compliance and avoid unnecessary penalties and confrontations with OSHA.
