Video Review on Showdown with Iran. Answer to question Yes, US efforts to install democracy in Iran has favored the Iranian interest .Iran has beena enemy of Iraq since the rule of Saddam Hussein, as he saw Iran as a bigger threat to Iraq than US. Sadaam always wanted to suppress Iran, and want to destroy the country to make himself and his country safe. So for obvious reasons both the countries are against each other. When the US attacked Iraq, Iranians were delighted as their main opponent lost its power, as the country lost its strength. Even the anti- elements like terrorist were fought down by American army which also was a benefit for Iran and also due to war the country did not have any administrative structure to remain in power. The US has been pushing them ahead to establish democracy in the country. But once the US leaves Iraq, Iran may attempt to step into Iraq and take over the country. Iran does not want Iraq to gain power; they are pleased to see Iraq as a powerless nation and a neighbor in the form of puppet which will dance to their tunes. And even the toppling of Saddam has helped in regaining the power of shia’s in Iraq and many religious leaders have moved to Iraq from Iran. This is also a very good benefit for Iran in bringing more favorable situation against them. Because of this the links and relationship between the two countries are also improving. Iran also has an aim of maximizing their alliance with Iraq Shiite factions. Iran is definitely not in favor of the Sunni in the Iraq and is anonymously giving support by money, arms and ammunition to the Shiite elements in Iraq. Iran also has a will in dominating the oil rich country Iraq, and getting economic and commercial success. Teheran’s interest to influence conflicts in Iraq is motivated by various strategic factors, as well as religious and cultural interests. The main factor is that the history of the two countries has been characterized by a near constant state of political-military conflict and rivalry. Iran is aiming for a complete Islamist rule in Iraq and US in the process of installing democracy in Iraq have destabilized the previous regime of the country which has proved to be in favor of Iranian interest. Answer to question 2 Iran has a big role in creating conflict in Iraq as they provide very much assistance to shite extremist by funding them with finance and weapons. There had been a good flow of weapons in to Iraq through Iran and they also give support to terrorism elements in Iraq. There are in a way waging war in Iraq with the help of Shiite extremists and destabilizing the country. Iranians are trying to build a force of Hezbollah version in Iraq to fight US and Iraq military forces. They have also alleged to have brought Hezbollah operatives to the country to train and organize militants. They are alleged to be supporting Iraqi militants with enormous funds and also with training camps outside Iraq. These camps train them, how to carry out bombing, raiding, kidnapping and so on. Most of the extremist who are operating in Iraq are the shite militants who were part of Iraqi force in the past. They send trained people to Iraq to carry out attack against US and Sunni forces of the country. They camouflage themselves as American security team and carry out atrocities in Iraq. The Iran help Shiite force in Iraq to fight hard against US and also carry out many attacks aiming US and also kidnap US militants. Iran purposely send lethal improvised weapons to terrorist to harm and kill the coalition forces in Iraq. There have been several arrests of Iranian operatives who are working with the Qud forces in Iran. It is said that the Iran themselves manufacture deadly explosives and send to Iran to increase the support for terrorist and anti- social elements. They are giving help to terrorist in increasing their activities in destroying the infrastructure of the country and making it a poor and weak state. The conflict in Iraq has been amplified by Iran by in every way they can. Iran always has made their presence in Iraq through conflict and other atrocities. They always attempt to weaken the country by various manipulations in Iraq’s military and other forces. They want Iraq to be a very weak country with no identity so that they can influence all the actions of the country. Iran also has a mission of conquering the country because with this they can get rid of the threat from Iraq forever. Answer to question 3 The political relation of US and Iran can be traced back to decades in to the past. The two countries shared an amicable relation in both political and cultural field. But in recent decades the relation got sour between them due to some anti – social activities of Iranians and US ceased all diplomatic relation with them. The hostility between the countries has been increased since 2003 with the break out of war .The main reason for this was the announcement of Iran on the enrichment of uranium for nuclear facility. The tension intensified as the IAEA inspected the sites of Iran where enrichment was taking place. With all the tension and conflicts happening between Iran and US, there is a threat of nuclear war looming around .If the US launch air strike on Iran, and then Iran will respond with its massive troops and invade Iraq. The Iranian air force will target the US positions in Iraq and also navy would direct towards US positioned in Persian Gulf. The Government of Iran will give full support to the Iranian president and the anti- Americanism will reach at high pitch. There can also be a calling for the young population of other Islamic countries to go to Iran to fight against US. The Chinese and Russian can form an alliance and prepare to counter the United States and west. The Sunni and Shiites despite of their hat redness will form unity and evict US out of the country. The US can experience heavy causality and they can get weakened in power. Iran will be invited to join hands with China and Russia and also other south Asian countries will join the group. It is not very easy to predict the political scenario in Iran and the change of a government is very unlikely. The change in the country depends on various external and internal factors. The United States would further cease all the trade and financial interaction with Iran. The president of Iran is weak and is not able to deal with the unstable conditions existing around the country .The domestic economic scenario of Iran is decorating and there are constant protests by laymen, students and merchants. The opposition is also planning for demonstration in the near future. All of this show that Iran is going through a rough patch and is in a compromising situation. Answer to question 4 The video is relevant to the themes of Middle East in the world affairs. It depicts the conflict between Iran and US and mainly projects this feature. It shows how Iran is trying to emerge as a super power in the Middle East. However, other countries are not keen on creating conflict and being a rival to US and western countries. Iran is trying hard to carry on with their uranium enrichment project for which other countries disagree. The video is showing the scenario of Middle East in the world affairs but the tensions that Iran is creating by triggering nuclear production. Iran’s support for nuclear program and its hand the conflict between US and Iraq is the main issue which is creating tension around the globe. It also shows how US have removed the ruler salaam Hussein from Iraq and gives more freedom to the country and other Middle Eastern countries. But this situation has given more support for the Iran to come up and threaten other countries including west. The invasion of Iraq has allowed stabilizing the country of Iraq but there grew a fierce tension between US and Iran. The nuclease threats of Iran have led to rivalry between US and other western nations. As a result of this many bans were made on trade and economic affairs between Iran and other nations of west. Even though Iran claimed that their nuclear program was for peaceful purpose, US doubted their stand. US approached the UN to take action against Iran for its action and as a result UN demanded Iran to cease its enrichment program. So the video is concentrating on Iran, Iraq and US and it is a major issue of Middle East which is affecting the whole world. If a war breaks out between Iran and US, it can lead to a world war. This has become a big issue and affecting the world and is a major threat to the peace of planet. The video can be very well suggested to others as it gives people an idea about what is the nature of tension growing in the Middle Eastern region. Since it is a very sensitive issue and can affect all nations, people should be aware of this issue.
