Obesity has become a matter of concern and it is considered to be one of the major health problems. When compared to the other health hazards, obesity has become a common issue among the people of all the age groups. (Health Committee 2004). Health promotion programs have been conducted by many organizations to create awareness among the public. This evaluation proposal aims at providing a complete outlook on the health promotion program for obesity. Health promotion programs are conducted in such a way that people get to know about a particular health problem.

It provides information about the existing legislations and policies and the environmental changes. Health promotion programs aim at improving the health of the people by inculcating the basic importance of maintaining their health in a proper way. A health promotion program can be implemented only if the methods and procedures are well defined. Government organizations do not depend on any other private organization to implement health promotion programs. But the situation is entirely different when a private or voluntary organization conducts a health promotion program.

The private organizations depend on government or other financial institutions to help them in conducting a health promotion program. The financial institutions provide financial assistance to the private organizations that conduct such health programs. (Aldana 2001). Since our institution is a non-government body, the help of government and other financial institution is necessary. A promotion program has to be implemented within a specific time period and this proposal indicates the timeline of the health promotion program.
