If the pitcher’s momentum through using his legs to push off of the mound is at a greater force, so too should be the force and speed at which the ball is released as long as the arms, shoulders and hand release the ball at the optimum position during the movement.
Another key component to baseball has been the explosion of curve balls and the extent to which a ball can be thrown straight but through its overall release the ball can actually curve away from the straight-line pathway. A scientific research study tested whether a curve ball actually does curve and “the results indicated that it is possible to make a ball curve as much as 18 inches away from a straight line within a distance of 60 feet, six inches” ( Through gripping the baseball a particular way and releasing the ball with the right controlled movements, a pitcher is able to make a ball travel in a straight pathway but curve after enough full revolutions have been completed. All of this is very interesting because it changes how the game can be viewed and alters how players should play the game. If careful analysis is performed and a critique of physical movements is made, science can help all players and coaches perform at the optimum level possible. Although I have a strong background in mathematics, my interest progressed in programming and computer because of my curiosity and passion to solve logical...

...often a result of misconception. Evaluation of the influence of social norms on behavior has been brought out through research in the field of social science. A social norm offers an approach that is soft and appealing to the intended target by adopting a more polite tone in its message and has widely been adopted by a vast number of educational institutions. Social norm has seemed successful in curbing alcohol use among students, but the evidence to support the perception that social norm programs are bearing the desired fruits has been in short supply. Research indicate that there is no noteworthy reduction in the level of alcohol consumption even with social norm marketing programs, since in some cases, alcohol...

The World in my image
...?THE WORLD IN MY IMAGE Introduction Even though the sovereignty of individual nations cannot be challenged in anyway, there remains a simple fact that no country is an island on its own when it comes to international relations and international levels of interaction (Mearsheimer, 2001). The theoretical meaning of this is that as much as individual nations have the right and power to take decisions that best serve their interest, they also have to put the larger international world into consideration when taking decision so that their decisions and actions can conform to international standards and principles. It is not for nothing then that there exist several international bodies, of...

It has assisted me in contacting the people I love to be with as well as those who are hardly in any form of physical contact with me. The aspect of being out of touch with a few people has also gone out as now I can call them or message them without even getting to be with them. I must say that science is indeed a blessing in one’s life as its advantages outweigh the drawbacks that come attached with any scientific invention (The Benefits of Cell Phones 2010). For me, the cell phones are the best possible products that I could ever dream of as it has...

Science Fiction, Technology, and Our Modern World
...Science Fiction, Technology, and Our Modern World Science Fiction, Technology, and Our Modern World This idea of superintelligent machines may seem like a plot in the Matrix but in reality, the idea is not far-fetched. Some proponents argue that the singularity- a point where Artificial Intelligence (AI) will surpass that of humans, will happen soon. These are pointers to the Utopian future in which humans will transcend their physical limitations with the help of machines and gradually get absorbed into AI-based creatures. Once the singularity occurs, people would not necessarily die but will be upgraded with cybernetic parts that would allow them to do virtually everything they want, provided it does not require much energy... ....
