My Gift: A Timeless Tool For Fulfillment And Happiness Introduction: Future is an interesting period of life. People are often interested in knowing their ‘future’ and use different means like astrology and palmistry to know what is going to happen in the future. However, it is interesting to know that people care only for their future and not for the future of coming generations. They are selfish in nature. Only those people who have an open and generous heart have a vision not only for people of their generation but also for people who are going to belong to the future generations. Hence, when I got an opportunity to leave a gift for my future relatives in a form of buried treasure, I decided to choose such a gift for them which will not only give a solution to their financial worries but will also give them a spiritual and emotional fulfillment in life. The gift The item that I have chosen to bury is a book called “The One Minute Guide To Prosperity And Enlightenment” by Sri Siva. This book is available on amazon.com. The price of the brand new book is $11.14. Looking at the price, one might think that the book is not of much value and hence, has lower price compared to the popular blockbuster novels, which are usually priced above $15. However, the price of this book has nothing to do with its value. This book is valuable not because of its entertainment element but because of the treasure of knowledge hidden in every word of this book. The price of the book should be ignored and the value should be understood. The reasons for choosing this item I was aware that 200 years from now, one of my relatives is going to dig the place which is my backyard now and as a token of love and blessing, I wanted to bury a gift which should be of immense value even at the time it is going to be found. I chose the book “The One Minute Guide To Prosperity And Enlightenment” by Sri Siva to bury in my backyard (“The One Minute .”, n.d.). This book has all the qualities that I was looking for in the gift that I wanted to leave for my future relatives. The reasons for which I chose this book as a gift are as follows: Tool When I was given an opportunity to bury a special gift for my future relatives, I was very excited and tense at the same time. I have realized that wealth is not the only solution to financial problems. For example, doing a business or a job that does not give you pleasure leads to unhappiness. If a person does a job not because he likes it but only because that particular job pays well and takes care of the material desires, then doing that job leads to unhappiness. What is necessary is the wealth that comes from doing something which you are happy doing. I realized that if I am to give my future relatives a gift which will put all their financial worries to rest, then I will have to give them such a tool which will not only help them to gain wealth but also to gain wealth through means which will bring them peace and happiness. The book that I have chosen as a gift is a book of ancient wisdom. The book explains how our actions in our past lives affect the way we think and behave in our present life. I am little skeptical about the concept of ‘karma’, which is “a spiritual law of cause and effect” (Sri Siva 1). However, after reading this book I realized that there was some sense to it. So, even if a person does not believe in past life phenomenon, he can still get immense benefit from this book. This book does not ask you to believe in past life theories or does not demand you to shift your beliefs. What it advices you is to practice the techniques given so that your unconscious behavior pattern and thought pattern related to money and wealth changes and you create a magnetic power to attract money. This book is like a magic wand which helps you to attract wealth and prosperity in a very spiritual way. Hence, the first reason for me to choose this book as an item to bury is that it is a tool to generate ‘unlimited’ prosperity and happiness in life. This book does not give the reader an access to a particular amount of money but gives one a power to generate a free flow of money in his life. Hence, this is an amazing solution for financial worries. Timeless Another reason for me to choose this book as a gift item is its quality of being ‘timeless’. The techniques given in this book are ancient techniques. They are from Indian spiritual scriptures which are thousands of years old. The testimonials in the book show that these techniques are as effective in the modern times as they were in the ancient times (SriSiva 5). This is because they are based on the sound frequencies of ‘mantras’ (‘mantras’ are sounds that create certain vibrations in the body, mind and environment of a person who chants it). I had to choose an item which will be effective in removing the financial worries even 200 years from now (2010). Also, I wanted to give them something which does not demand much of their time as in modern times, people are in hurry and do not have much time for themselves. I found that the main meditation described in Sri Siva’s book is just of one minute. This suits the lifestyle of modern people. Hence, the book by Sri Siva was the best possible option for me. I am sure that if used properly, it will work like a magic wand in the lives of my future relatives. Moreover, my aim was to give them something which will bring not only the material abundance but also a contentment and happiness of the soul My Belief After reflecting on different aspects of life, I have realized that the solution to the financial problem is not in getting graduate degree, learning in famous educational institutions or getting a job in fortune 500 companies. The solution to financial problems lies in earning the money by doing something that ‘you’ like doing rather than doing what people want you to do. To be truly happy and prosperous in life, one has to choose a profession which is in sync with the soul’s purpose in life. Only that wealth which is gained by doing what one’s heart desires to do, can give complete fulfillment in life. Hence, my aim was to find a gift which would not only give a key to gaining wealth and prosperity but also give a key in understanding the meaning and purpose of life. Hence, I chose the book “The One Minute Guide To Prosperity And Enlightenment” by Sri Siva as I believed that it will provide both, the financial and spiritual prosperity to anyone who reads it. Conclusion I am a firm believer in the concept of ‘being one with the universe’. It means that people who live in synchronicity with the universe always find fulfillment and happiness in life. True prosperity lies not only in accumulating material wealth but also in finding peace and harmony in life. Hence, as the book “The One Minute Guide To Prosperity And Enlightenment” by Sri Siva gives a key to achieving spiritual way to wealth, I chose it as an item to bury in my backyard. It is a tool for both, the financial prosperity and the spiritual prosperity. Work Cited “The One Minute Guide to Prosperity and Enlightenment”. Amazon.com. amazon, n.d.
