Hence, the issue of ethical dilemmas arises and the simplest yet unethical one is leg pulling which might take place while we are speaking to the boss and the topic just arose that I had to tell the boss otherwise had he found it out both of us would have been in trouble is the general excuse we come up with after we are done with the dirty work. Nevertheless, conflicts are a definite to arise when people of diverse nationality, age, education, race, religion, gender and socioeconomic status are working together.

These people are expected to work in harmony but the environment is charged with competition. The most common ethical dilemmas I’ve heard and experienced at work place include power, authority, honesty and loyalty. From my own experience, I have observed that in my work place ethical dilemma such as harassment, gender and nationality biasness, conflicts of interest, or excessive use of power are common issues. I currently work for a post office, and it had been a pleasure working there as these employers believe in motivating their employees.

My previous work experience had been quite tough regarding harassment and seniority at workplace. My current working place is a post office where I have learnt to work as a family. Almost all the employees are of different nationality and yet we managed quite well together. We agreed on a single language which keeps peace and no political issue arises between us. The driving force at my workplace is positive attitude and energy. We discuss our problems with each other or our bosses which helps in keeping the motivation of employees high and conflicts low.

Everything was working well except that workplace was not being managed properly. The free hand to go to boss was creating a problem regarding following chain of command. If someone was asked to do some extra work they would call up the boss and complain of being harassed. The boss
