During the early parts of the second half of the twentieth century, the media allegedly had not been able to do its rightful job. With already prejudiced opinions about the “blacks,” they – as the Kerner Report found out – “have failed to communicate” the truth. A breach of confidence over knowing what was true – or not – had evolved.
Today’s situation, fortunately, is unlike the past.
