The central idea of Mitzbergs Roles is that a good manager should include the qualities of generalist and expert. He may be an expert in the certain field but he must be broad-minded to find the proper way of behavior in any situation. Mintzberg wanted to state that the role of a manager is wide-ranging and conflicting in its requirements, because everyday situations can be different and a manager has to play different roles and each role is important2. Here it is essential to consider the managerial style of the Apples CEO Steve Jobs. 3. Notwithstanding that people usually prefer not to ease their lives and want to know every detail in order to plan their future, sometimes this knowledge may be unnecessary.

In some cases people can perform their tasks namely because they do not know everything about the situation. That is why uncertainty is often taken into account in the decision making process. For example, appropriate decision making is very important to the success of the NASCAR organization and its activity. Decision making represents a number of difficult steps. The organization NASCAR decided to make certain steps to attract new fans and this decision was right but demanded urgent actions taking into account the audience.

The managers do not know how their actions would be treated by old fans, so uncertainty became one of the main decisive factors for analyzing the situation in the organization not only because of the altering demands of the customers, but because of the understanding that changing of organization’s structure may not be treated positively by all the people 3. 4. I consider social responsibility to be an integral aspect in management of any company; business means being responsible not only to oneself, but to the staff and to the society in general.
