It gives researchers the relationship between the abstract and concrete which assist in making research decisions and making sense of the world.
It provides the link between the thought statement and the observed, Intransitive and transitive objects (Glesne; 156; 1992). The method plays the role of linking the facts collected in the real world with the theories. The data on the other hand brings the conclusion on the issue being stated in theoretical form. Data refers to the facts on the ground collected using the methods that seek to explain theory (Denzin; 236; 1994).
