Part c is frustrating and ambiguous and is likely to bring emotions in the answers thus being unreliable. The questions are biased in that they don’t include all possible answers expected. Theory is abstract and gives one side account of many other accounts in the social world. It gives researchers the relationship between the abstract and concrete which assist in making research decisions and making sense of the world.

The data on the other hand brings the conclusion on the issue being stated in theoretical form. Data refers to the facts on the ground collected using the methods that seek to explain theory (Denzin; 236; 1994).

The three are interrelated as one leads to another in the process of research.
