On a personal note, the privacy and the level of concentration that can be provided by the use of cubicles in workspaces are included in the appreciated effects. On the other hand, if a manner of continuous work activity occurs inside the cubicle area, it can be considered a health hazard and the risk of motivation and inspiration to work and have a good output which can be attributed to the confined nature of the work area in the application of the said system.

Based on the reaction of the people toward the cubicle, different points of observation can be presented. One of the points is that being a highly social being, the interaction and relationship with other people and fellow workers can have very influential effects on the performance of the workers. In addition, the workplace can also be an important factor in itself due to the effects it can bring about on the attitude of the person. In one of the studies undertaken regarding the most effective workplace setup, it had been presented that the open office setup is the most effective since a less pressured and raw working environment can be perceived. Other phases and methods can even be applied such as the coordination of actions undertaken by the whole group that can lead to a more refined, well-communicated, and well-informed in terms of the goals and visions of the company and the groups. In general, cubicles are advantageous for the physical order in a company as viewed by the leaders. In terms of productivity and efficiency, it can be viewed as a hindrance (Gherardi and Nicolini, 2006; Harrison, Wheeler, and Whitehead, 2004).

Due to the perceived disadvantages of cubicles, other methods are being implemented. Telecommuting is one of the methods that are considered a replacement, although there are perceived limitations too. One fact is that being organized is one of the requirements and prerequisites in the establishment of a successful and operational organization. The said limitations and controlling factors are key concepts in organizations. Telecommuting needs more discipline while the cubicle system needs less control and boxed work performance. Methods that can be considered in between can be effective in the goals to improve the workspace and the performance of the people (Gherardi and Nicolini, 2006; Goodbye to the Cubicle?; Harrison, Wheeler and Whitehead, 2004).

Based on the article under study and the research undertaken, it is a personal notion that the cubicle system in the workspace is not effective in improving the performance of the workers. This can be attributed to the fact that even the opinions of the workers affirm the view based on the article. On the other hand, based on different research results, the performance of workers is optimized in a workplace that is conducive to productivity.
