Before designing anything, one should make a precise plan for it. In other words, we can say that blueprint of any structure is very important and it is the virtual view of one’s imagination. It is one’s dream on paper.
Factors important in the choice of location for plant:-
1) Suitability of neighborhood – The plant must be located in a quiet and healthy neighborhood free from noise, dust, fumes, or obnoxious smell. It should not be in the residential area i.e. far away from the residential area.
2) Proximity to other units – The plant should be near to other units like a warehouse, laboratory, etc because it will help in the smooth flow of work.
3) Proximity to Related traders – Advertisers, competitors and distributors should be in a nearby place so as to keep a dog watch on them.
4) Nearness of Service facilities – Plant should be located preferably near service facilities like banks, markets, hospitals, etc
7) Cheap transportation – Transport and carriage services should be present in near places of the plant for transferring the bulk of finished products.
8) Cheap labor – Labor is an important part of the business without whom any business can run successfully. Labor helps in flourishing a business. So it should be available in adequate amount and on cheap wages.
9) Other facilities - The structure of the plant should be well designed with proper lighting, ventilation, sanitation, cleanliness, restrooms and waiting rooms, washrooms, etc. It should be spacious, noise-proof and have an adequate number of large windows to allow the entry of maximum natural light and free circulation of natural air. It should have fire alarms and emergency alarms also.
10) There should be a proper place for the disposal of the waste material. This would help in maintaining the neat and clean surroundings and thus saving the environment from getting polluted and finally keeping the beauty of nature in esteem.
This diagram shows the working of different departments with each other’s cooperation and coordination. One is responsible to answer the other and the other is responsible and dutiful to help the rest of the departments. Like production, the department has to maintain the records of the sales department as well as of purchase department because three of them are tightly knotted with each other.
This diagram shows the working of different levels of management. This type of structure is known as “Vertical division of labor”. In this kind of scenario, the chief function of top managers, or executives, typically is to plan long-term strategy and oversee middle managers. Middle managers generally guide the day-to-day activities of the organization and administer top-level strategy. Low-level managers and laborers put a strategy into action and perform the specific tasks necessary to keep the organization operating.

Conclusion:-
The success of the business is not only dependent upon the architecture of the plant but also on the nature of the business, facilities available, activities performed and internal management of the plant i.e. how is work going on and the coordination and cooperation of the staff right from the lower level to middle level and finally to the top level. The design of the plant not only shows the impact of the owners of the business on the rest of the world including competitors but also their duty to present and build a strong infrastructure. Organization, Work & Technology are formerly known as Behaviors in Organizations so each is equally counted in terms of profit and reputation of the business. Planning, directing, staffing, motivating, recruiting, organizing and controlling are the basic need of any business, without whom no business can flourish. Everybody has to work diligently and put their best to obtain the best. Everyone is part of this family called business.
Lastly, the plant is going to produce fruit yogurt so the main concentration should be on hygiene. The quality of the food is a top priority. The raw materials used in the production of fruit yogurt should be of supreme quality and quality control tests should be timely taken. Food should be kept under proper supervision so as to preserve it from being spoilt and contaminated. Workers should be strictly instructed to wash their hands and wear gloves and caps before working in the production area or unit. Floors and nearby areas of the production unit should be swept and cleaned daily and disposal of garbage should be properly done. The expiry date of the food product should be recorded and expired food must not be sent for distribution in the market.
