[The [The [The My Learning Experiences: The Best and the Worst In this paper, I would like to record some of my interesting experiences of life. These would be covering the sphere of my learning experiences in life: both the worst and the best. Every person has a set of predispositions that derive from a variety of sources, such as learning experiences whether be good or bad, which includes the whole of a person's background as well as the internalized role constraints of one's present situation, physiological needs, and inherited physical characteristics and capabilities.

These personal predispositions are enduring rather than transitory and condition the behaviour of people on a long-term basis, so that we say everyone has a personality. (Leathwood, 121-23)I would start from my worst learning experience. English has never been my favorite subject. In fact, it has always been my least favorite subject. Going through school, I often wondered why I needed to do so many English related tasks, and in wondering, I learned to detest the subject without realizing its future benefits.

I suppose my dislike for the subject has become greater through the eighteen some years that I have been learning the different components of the English language. It was more like I was learning new things - things that I did not learn at home or in pre-school - like reading, writing, and grammar. It felt good to finally know how to read and write. These were things that once I learned them, I was using them everyday. Not only did I use the knowledge to read a story in reading class or to do a writing assignment, but to maybe read the newspaper and write a note to a friend as well.

However, then came junior high school. I believe this was when I began to really dislike English classes. Not only was I faced with the same long, boring grammar assignments that I was exposed to in elementary school, but I also had to start reading long books on topics that didn't really excite me. It was really the worst experience for me to write flawless English then. However, I do recognize the importance of being able to read, interpret, speak, and write correctly in society today.

Now, I would like to narrate my best learning experience. My summer vacations spent on a hill station during my high school was all and more than I could of ever dreamed of, this was probably the best holiday I have every been on. On the last day, we were invited to a giant downhill slalom race that was being held by the locals. We all jumped at the chance to compete with hills folk at their own sport. It was very nerve racking and our group had already decided that none of us were going to beat the hill station team at their own game and that we should just go for the best time out of the group.

When my time came to go I could barely stand, I had worked myself up into such a frenzy I couldn't even think, I stood at the top of the 'run' and looked down at everybody watching me, judges with stopwatches the proper timer gate that started the clock, everything was there it was like watching the Olympics on television, but I was there and I was next. I shut my eyes and I could see my instructors face, he said to me "you know you can do it kid", and I went! After I had taken my go on the slope, I watched the teacher's son do his.

There was lots of whispering and checking of times and that was it, the locals thanked us for being good sports and the instructor took us off back up the mountain that was it finished and we carried on skiing for the rest of the day. I didn't really give it another thought when we started skiing again. That night was our last night in this cold hillside and we where all called into the dinning room for a little group talk. The teachers announced that three of our skiers had actually beaten all the locals' times, we couldn't believe it.

Then we were informed that the local judge had come to give the winner and the runners up a certificate, and a medal for their efforts. The judge quickly put me out of my misery by announcing that I have beaten the runner up by seven seconds, which in skiing is a very long gap and that the winner was in fact me! I couldn't believe it, I could hardly stand up to go to the front to receive my medal, but I did. And those days to me were the best days of my life, and by far the best successful learning experience I could ever think of.

I went from a child who was unable to stand up on skies to winning a gold medal in giant downhill slalom I still have my medal and certificate and it is the best learning experience and achievement in my life.Work CitedLeathwood, C and Moreau M-P (2005) Longitudinal Study of Students' Learning Experiences and Progression Metropolitan University: 121-23
