ment of Purpose Williams VS Tubman This ment of purpose is essentially focused on the most important aspects of my career progression path. My Registered Nurse status, along with little more than 15 years of experience in public, private and non-profit organizations would definitely benefit the School of Health Sciences to a greater extent. Currently I am employed at Hill Street Community Wellness Center, Los Angeles, CA as a nurse administrator where I have been engaged among other things in the preparation and development of policies and procedures related to primary care, mental health care, substance abuse and clinical intervention on a day - to - day basis.

Despite the fact that I have obtained a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) I have considerable experience in nursing to meaningfully relate to the intricacies of a Master's in Public health (MPH). Especially my clinical experience in Haiti and Belize in 2010 and 2007 respectively would serve as the main criterion for decision making by the selecting panel at the William VS Tubman University. Also I have co-authored the literature review of a journal article along with Dr. William King MD for UCLA.

Further, I hold a current IRB certification for research with human subjects.My landmark contributions to the administrative and professional programs of the hospital include the preparation of the Joint Commission Readiness Survey that scored almost 95% with commendation and watching over the ongoing quality assurance program which is in conformance with TJC standards for patient and staff safety. My teaching skills are essentially enhanced by orientation programs, procedural collaboration and compliance rules for Medicare and Medicaid (Bohmer, 2009).

Further my professional administrative and career centric capabilities have been demonstrated in such varied fields as research methodology, epidemiology, pathology, disease management, program level coordination, multidisciplinary approaches, setting quality standards and establishing emergency response protocols. I have been involved in multi-tasking functional level management in the healthcare sector. My perseverance and proclivity for supervisory oversight in clinical and non-clinical environments should inevitably contribute in good measure to the success of the programs of study at the SHS.

In fact my pedagogical skills would be of substantial relevance and empowerment to the students of Health Policy and Management (HPM) Discipline, Health Administration (BSHA) Discipline and Health Administration/Health Information Systems Discipline. Public health policy and management involves multidisciplinary syllabus content and therefore requires a degree of versatility and sophistication to handle such issues as environmental impacts on policy design and related dynamics (Henderson, 2009).

The same can be said about information technology (IT) and its management related impacts on teaching outcomes. Impact assessment and success evaluation processes that I am familiar with would be of great help in coordinating this type of discipline within the institutional environment. As much as accounting skills are required to handle finance related complexities, skills required for the design and execution of effective IT programs are also needed in this respect. Despite a certain amount of doubt among administrators about the RNs' flexibility and resourcefulness in multitasking there is no question about the current trends that exceptionally hold out the promise of a well-equipped RN who is able to manage information flow within the healthcare sector with equanimity and efficacy.

I have not ignored the significance of these skills for career-oriented RN. I taught a one day course to undergraduates at Springfield College in Los Angeles on the Future of Health Care reform in 2009 as well as a one day course to undergraduates at Antioch University in Los Angeles to a class on race, and health care disparities.Wellness has become a word of concern to many and yet only a few people are able to understand how the information dissemination process works in a modern world like ours.

I have essentially been influenced by a multitude of factors in this respect. My career goals are centered on the effective management of healthcare information flow within both the society and the institutional environment, i.e. the hospital. As a teacher at William VS Tubman University in Liberia, West Africa I would be putting into practice all my capabilities and skills that I have perseveringly developed.
