Compare and contrast the key appeal factors of the world's top four receiving countries (arrivals 2005) ly: France, Spain, USA, China ABSTRACT The following report is about the key appeal factors that are what attracts the tourist in different countries to visit. The key appeal factors may be the climate, business, natural resources, and food or may be the culture and tradition. The report is being driven for the four top most tourist arrival countries, which are France, Spain, USA and China. INTRODUCTION The World around the globe clutches different exciting, adventurous, exotic, interesting, dangerous and attractive sceneries and objects. The beautiful lakes, the high peaks, the glaciers, the deserts, the wild animals, the kind fishes and birds, the blue seas and oceans the big green lands spread a unique natural beauty in every part of the world. In other words, to every country there holds its own specialty. People visit different countries for not only trade but to spend their vacations, to take out time to explore the world and its beauty. These migrations benefit the countries in a manner to hold up the foreign exchange along with the enhancement of business of their countries. Most of the countries show up their basic historical culture and tradition to keep it alive among the new generation and spreading it all over the world. It is being noticed that technology introduces a new change in every field of daily use. A person traveling of one's pleasure is known to be a tourist and the process or migrations tourist make till one returns back to the homeland is known to be tourism. Tourist is said to be a name to visitor who travels the t other country to visit it for the cause of business or his pleasure. According to Mathieson and Wall (1982), tourism is "the temporary movement of people to destinations outside their normal places of work and residence, the activities undertaken during their stay in those destinations and the facilities created to cater their needs."8 In simple words, Wall and Mathieson wants to say that visiting a place other than usual places like office, schools, relative homes; a place where person moves to accomplish his personal or business desires. Desires may be to attain mental relaxation from the fast track life or desires may to achieve more trading clients to enhance own assets. Studying more about tourist and tourism, Macintosh and Goeldner (1986) defines tourism in words like, "the sum of phenomena and relationships arising from the interaction of tourists, business suppliers, host governments and host communities in the process of attracting and hosting these tourists and other visitors."8 This is simple and easy defining the same philosophy of tourism in mould of different words. KEY APPEAL FACTORS Traveling from one place to another was a big major time consuming issue. Its developments were simultaneously acting by the passage of time. On foot traveling was done before 1500A.D when stagecoach was invented. This is a carriage pulled by the horse. It in minority but yet being seen now a day and now it's the cheaper transportation to move from one place to another. Then in England in 1825, passenger-carrying railroads, i.e., trains are developed moving the research on the development of boats and ships which was first sailed in ocean in 1840. This transportation was usually used to move on the land across seven seas through oceans. Automobiles and now the most famous transportation is air travel. Traveling may be done for one or more of the following dimensions: Natural Resources Culture Ethnicity Entertainment Extreme Tourism, which includes adventurous activities. Traveling is just not the reason but a name to live a healthy stay at guest place and enjoy that happy tensionless mood which requires following facilities: Lodging Food & Beverages Support Services Infrastructure, services like communication, water for general use, electricity etc. These all facilities require for the following the visitor or tourist to be filled with: Money Time Mobility Motivation to move within the travel lively and courageously. Time and money are counted to be the initials for tourist o crammed with. As it is not easy to move in a different country or state without knowing any one, though to have money is real important factor. As money makes the tourist get food and accommodation the major. Time is important as tourist spends thousands in traveling to reach the destination so one has the right to visit all the special places of that place and enjoy the time in a relax temperament. This is the country's right to honor the guest/tourist by welcoming one nicely and giving two vital essentials to feel comfortable: Community's Attitude Security This may know as the hospitality of the country or state for the tourist. This is responsibility of the government and can be only getting by the interaction between local population and the tourist. From above descriptions it is clear to acknowledge the individuals that moving to a place may require different attributes and all of these attributes are so vital on their place that tourist may choose a place to visit on these attributes. The appealing factors may be needs, interests, living, budget or security. WORLD TOURISM ORGANIZATION World Tourism Organization is an organization developed to take care of every country's tourist processes and make the countries and their specifics more special. From the last few years, study upon the tourism states that France is the top most tourist destination place. Spain, Unites States of America and China are the next toppers respectively. Percentage of arrivals counted for these countries in 2006, for France are 79.1%, however, Spain welcomes 58.5% of tourist in last year. USA counted its tourism at 51.1% and China for the fourth top most arriving tourist country welcomes 49.6% of tourist in 2006.5 However the change from 2005 to 2006 in tourism to these countries are recorded in percentage; for France is 4.2%, Spain 4.5% which shows that soon in this year tourism in Spain grows. The change in tourism for last two years recorded for USA is 3.8% and 6.0% for China.2 These four countries holds the biggest tourist of the world and though the reasons for traveling may be the trade, the attraction of interesting and different entertaining places, it may be the population growth which make people visit their relatives and may be the attractive culture or some extraordinary exploratory natural resources. FRANCE France welcomes most of the tourism. People visiting Switzerland, EEA and EU are free to visit France without any VISA and nor even they require work permits. EU, the European Union and EEA, the European Economic Area includes more than thirty countries of Europe. This is the major reason that people visit France on their every visit to Europe and especially to Schengen as it gives free movement to France. France is a place famous for its fashion collections, which is more attractive to male and females of today. Paris the beautiful and romantic City of France is worth viewing. France currency is the same that is for other parts of the Europe i.e., Euro and though currency exchanging is not a problem there. Worth of currency is same as in their country. From one of the traveling websites of France it is being studied that their Health Insurance Card gives them worth discount. It says," t confirms the right to the holder to obtain health care at the same cost as the country's own residents pay in their country. In France, this means that you will get a refund of typically 70% of emergency medical expenses, 80% of hospital expenses. The remaining part is at your charge."7 France is all fine with hygiene ad its romantic natural beauty attract the tourist and make their income from selling what the new fashion is. August is the vocational month of the France. Cinema, Concerts, theaters, bars and nightclubs are common enjoyable places leading to a beautiful wonders of the world the Disneyland for all ages is one of the best entertain place to spend time with families. However renting rooms are not very expensive there. SPAIN Spain is famous to welcome their tourist in a limited amount in a period. It is all because Spain itself is famous for its national parks, wildlife and beautiful clean coasts. Spain made tourism controlled to preserve the wild life from pollution and natural parks from cutting the greenery out. Tourist enhances the economy by buying best selling swimsuits, lingerie and shopping at upscale fashion boutiques. Spain is awarded for its best serving tourist motels and dinning restaurants. The hygiene is the central activity made by every citizen of its. Spanish kind culture and dances are very famous and worth looking. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA USA tourism besides enhancing business and finding new clients people visit USA for spending their vacation. Trading with USA is worth as its currency is the most expensive globally. Las Vegas is the tourist specific destination in USA as it serves with number of casinos for gambling along with topless dancers and bars packed the beers. But tourism grows more and government realizes that people come here to enjoy along with their families and ribald humors and gambling is no good for kids, though many family oriented shows and plays are organized. Shopping and stay with number of different beverages and meals are served. The most entertaining place for kids and adults is the Disney Land where everyone finds the best spending time. CHINA China is no good for hygiene and finding food for your taste is too difficult as they prefer eating seafood but Seafood lovers enjoy the food at peak. The climate is norm and hotel stays are not really worth as very low standardized but still the tourism to China makes China stands at fourth position. The cause of this is nothing else than their manufacturing. China is famous for having small in-home industries producing number of hand made products. People visit China to find the new and latest product to improve their business strategies and place orders for the exportations. As China currency is low so business with Chinese Companies give traders a lot benefit. However China's economy earns from not only its business but also showing their traditional plays and dance shows on roads on different places. China is famous for its friendly attitude towards tourist. Shopping and visiting their historical places, museums are worth to spend time upon. SUMMARY Though from the above report it is concluded that key appeal factors which may attracts the tourist to visit the countries may be the business i.e., earning or trading. It may be the climate to get relax, may be the culture and tradition, may be the excellent living to spend holidays, exploration may also be the part of key appeal. Some people like to eat well and though the visit their favorites food countries to have their specialties. Animal and Plants the natural resources may also be the mind to travel. Enjoying the sunny beaches, shopping, casinos, gambling, etc anything of being in the interest of tourist can be the appeal factor to tour. France being the top tourism country has an excellent weather and is famous for fashion accessories as in trade. Romance in Paris is famous among the romantic lovers that they come to visit the country for expressing their emotions on an exotic natural ground. Moreover, the free visa facility for European makes European spend their vacations here under a wealthy climate. However Spain being second in tourism position growing tremendously. As it provides excellent and secure living to the tourist in a nice cloudy climate. Beaches, Natural parks, wild animals are its worthwhile specialty to spend time and money for. USA being the ultimate country helps in trading. As USA currency is expensive one people around the world wants their products to be sold in America in dollar currency to earn more. Though this is the basic reason people from other countries move to USA to pull off different clients for their business. Casino players and sex lovers move to USA to enjoy their nights in nightclubs, bars and gamble. Families visit their to spend their vacations as USA serves them not only with healthy living but standardized hotels and tasteful food. Kids feel blessed to spend their time in Disney Land the biggest entertainment place. China being the cheaper has norm climate as in subcontinent but is famous for its quality products cheaper in price. Tourist comes here to find suppliers and import China products for their business to earn profit. Chinese food is famous all over the world but less of the tourist found some tasteful food there.
