Design for Collecting Primary DataBasic Activity for Generating Data The spotlight is on determining the effectiveness of kiosk implementation with POS from a business point of view, and the degree of customer satisfaction associated with it.

 Primary data will get statistics like the number of kiosk implementations with POS; the number of customers using it; nature of services offered; a degree of satisfaction customers derive from it, etc. I will try to quantify the qualitative data using scales like 1-5 and providing descriptions for each rating. I plan to gather 30 different responses.location-based on my data collection needs, I will visit retail stores, grocery stores, and food chains in the area that have installed kiosks at their sites, and will meet customers and business management.

Collection ProtocolMy choice for doing the research is through random Survey Questionnaires – including Customer Surveys, and Business Surveys.8. Design for Processing Primary DataDesign of Pre-Processing of Primary DataI will define statistics I want, like the average age of people, percentage usage of the kiosk, degree of satisfaction, increase in perceived business value, improvements in customer relations, etc. Design for Primary Data PresentationI will develop charts showing customer satisfaction before and after the installation of kiosks; and reasons for such changes.

I will also group the gathered data under appropriate categories like customer age group using the kiosk, companies most successful in implementing kiosks with POS, etc. Design for Generating intended Project OutcomeBased on the primary data presentation charts and statistics identified above, I should be in a position to conclude how kiosk technology helps POS systems by improving customer relationship with the company and its systems; and what are the key features requirement of kiosks.
