Patients willingly opt for the cheapest treatment and later curse the dentists for the “not-so-appealing” results. Much of such cases find their roots in the economically and educationally backward communities. Challenges are exaggerated by the people of poor socio-economic background. Dentists tend to operate remaining within the domain of the fee they are going to be paid at the end of it, which comes as a compromise on the level of treatment. “The best leaders realize that they can’t do everything and that they can’t do everything well.

” (Levin, 2010). Running a good dental business requires good management skills in addition to good knowledge of dentistry. Dentists have to gain management skills in order to benefit from their fundamental skills in dentistry and run a profitable business. Issues with the business of dentistry can be dealt with strategically “but too often that potential remains unrealized for a large portion of a dentist’s career because he or she never received the business training to maximize that potential.

” (Levin, 2010).
