However, television also has a negative impact. Too much television seems to cause laziness in children and adults alike. In addition, violence in some programs have manifested themselves on young viewers who are most exposed to television. Because of these, researchers are continuously studying the effects of television on its viewers. Some concerned groups have tried to protest against shows with violent content, especially those that are supposed to be programs for children. The producers of the shows claim, though, that preventing these programs from airing would suppress their right to creativity and artistic expression.
