VALS Survey VALS Survey The VALS survey predicted that I am an Innovator. But some of the qualities of innovators such as sophistication and success do not match me (Kotler, 2012). This is because I am still trying to climb the ladder of success which I believe will be attained after I complete my education. On the other hand the characteristics such as high self-esteem and people who prefer being in charge are characteristics that truly define my personality (Wrenn, 2010). I have higher degree for respect myself because I have never avoided a challenge in my life and I ensure that once I start moving towards a particular goal, I continue to make every effort to attain that goal.

Even if a fail in certain attempts, I do not give up and think that I cannot achieve a particular goal and instead I continuously try different methods to attain that goal (Lynch, 2007). The survey even depicted that that I even belong to the category of experiencers. This is quite true about me because I am quite enthusiastic about different things and I am always ready to experience new things (Hawknis, 2011). For example: if a project is being assigned to me during the class, I will become quite enthusiastic and I will start asking questions to the instructor and indulge in developing a group for the project.

I will even start exploring possible different ways to work on the project and obtain input from other team members regarding the project. Team members come up with different ideas that I am not aware of, but I am always ready to test those ideas and identify the costs and benefits associated with those ideas. But the problem is that I tend to get tired or bored with new things quite easily and I have witnessed that in my consumption patterns (Applegate, 2007). For example: while buying a new LED TV I was very enthusiastic about it and I believed that I will use it to view too many movies.
