One of the examples given in Dijksterhuis, Smith, Baaren, & Wigboldus (2005) article is that the consumer in an experimental study tended to consume more ice cream than the confederate. The confederate assumed the first position to take the ice cream and whenever he took a bigger or large quantity of ice cream the participant would also mimic him and consumer large ice cream as well. Therefore, the participant unknowingly imitated the behaviour of the confederate (Dijksterhuis, Smith, Baaren, & Wigboldus, 2005).

It has been observed that given that stereotype subject to perception-behaviour link, goals and personal attribute to careers are, therefore, contagious to perception. A student who is taught by professors and most likely like their tutor end up doing well just like a professor would do (Dijksterhuis, Smith, Baaren, & Wigboldus, 2005).
