Swot Analysis s affiliation SWOT analysis This analysis involves an in-depth investigation of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of three major players in the smart phone industry (Mao, Su-Chen, uh-Min, 2013). It helps in understanding the internal and external environment that a business undertakes its operations. SWOT analysis also helps to determine the aspect of what is right or wrong with the products that a company produces (Mao, Su-Chen, uh-Min, 2013). The three major players in the smart phone company are Samsung, Apple and Huawei.
The SWOT analysis of these companies can be discussed as follows: Strengthsi. Productivity applications that help eliminate paperwork and also save time.ii. Ability to market their brand.iii. Low production costs of the smart phones.iv. Innovation and design.v. Ability to integrate hardware with many open operating system and software.vi. Price wars which cause the smartphone companies to selling their products and significantly low prices and this can make competitors to wipe them out of the market.iv. Penetrated patents whereby some of the competitors use their patents but do not pay for the rights to use them.As the CEO of the Samsung smart Phone Company and based on the analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunity and threats I would focus mainly on improving on the areas that pose a challenge to the company to ensure that my competitors do not face the Samsung Company out of the market. I would also improve on the quality of my products, hardware and also the operating systems.Additionally, I would take advantage of the opportunities open to the company to see on how I can incorporate them in the operations of the company so as to release better and improved products.
Consequently, I would also create a business environment that is ready to accept technological change as the world is dynamic and it keeps on changing and therefore the use of modern technology will result in improved and new products in the market. This ensures that the company will be able to stand the heat from its competitors. Lastly, SWOT analysis aids the company in knowing the attitude of its customers by how they purchase the product; this will ensure that the company continues to improve on their products.
